Re: Incredible !!! Wave to MIDI With Vocals
Well I for one would be as happy as a pig in sh*t if you find a converter that could take a commercial song with vocals, bass, drums, guitars, keyboards (you get the picture) and spit it out in MIDI format that only requires a few minutes of tweaking. So don’t let me stop you or rain on your parade....

Re: Consistent or uniform levels for audio clips
By the time you posted that post I was already a whole day ahead of you!!! LOL!!! Tell you something though: after some more playing around I’ve come to the conclusion that you cannot beat good ‘ol Sonic Foundry err... Sony err... MAGIX!!! LOL!!! I had been sent another two solos so thought hang on ...

Re: Incredible !!! Wave to MIDI With Vocals
Dude!!! On what planet are these MIDI files an accurate representation of the .MP3 files that you're using and that you uploaded on your other thread??? And the reason the conversion is VERY ROUGHLY working is because the way those .MP3 files are mixed: they may just as well be one instrument. Like ...

Re: Converting Wave Files to MIDI
For the sake of my own curiousity: Are you saying that you can take a POLYPHONIC .MP3 file, upload it to that Bear Converter, and it spits out a MIDI file with multiple tracks/instruments that require very little MIDI editing??? Could you upload the .MP3 file that you're using??? P.S. Oh I see you s...

Re: Consistent or uniform levels for audio clips
Morning. As a matter of interest: is there any way to place multiple instances of a plugin on a track this as opposed to one plugin on a track that applies to the entire track??? And each instance will apply only to a specified portion of the track??? Note this not the same as automation. With an EQ...

Re: Consistent or uniform levels for audio clips
Hello. Nope. You got it right really. Each guitar solo is on its own track. But it gets a bit more involved because one guitarist may have done multiple solos in the same take and on the same track but with different amp. settings and therefore a different tone and even different levels on the same ...

Re: Consistent or uniform levels for audio clips
Who said mixing was easy again??? LOL!!! Dunno why I ask these questions because no sooner do I ask them and then I find the solution!!! LOL!!! If anybody here thinks that proper gain staging and level control is as simply as slapping something like Hornet's HornetVUMeter on each track and telling i...

As usual I may have answered my own question:

Still. Thoughts and input would be appreciated.

Consistent or uniform levels for audio clips
Hi. As some will know I'm busy with that collaboration project over on the Seymour Duncan forums. In short: different guitarists are sending to me their solos that they've worked on and recorded on their own gear and it's my function to put the whole lot together nice. But I'm running into a problem...

Re: MT Power Drums 2
I'm curious. Why do you have to use Omni Sampler??? Why can you not just add the effects straight to the Acoustica drums etc.???
I ask the above because I really don't know and I've seen this same thing being mentioned before but I've never understood why or what Omni Sampler is about.

Re: Needing a new interface
Was hoping to hear from you!!! LOL!!! "Clean living"??? Are you kidding me??? Only thing more I could do for this mixer is keep it in an oxygen tent with filtered air or something!!! LOL!!! It's flipping ridiculous. My home studio is, for all intents and purposes, a sealed room (to save th...

Re: Needing a new interface
Something I found which is contrary to generally accepted practice when it comes to cleaning mixer faders and, for some reason or the other, is only mentioned on the absolute fewest of websites. Do NOT use compressed air to BLOW dust out of faders. If you take a good look at the design of a fader th...

Re: MT Power Drums 2
Those the very same instructions I followed. Seeing as you had no issue maybe it's my download accelerator that's taking it upon itself to recognise the files as being .ZIP files (which they are) and renaming them as such. Never had it happen before. But if this be the case: apologies for the bad ra...

Re: MT Power Drums 2
Yeh. Thanks to this thread and while I was taking a break on Friday I thought well let me download this SSD5 free thing to see what everybody is raving about (one or two accomplished guitarists here by me rave about Steven Slate Drums). All I can say it what a flipping nightmare!!! How can an outfit...

Re: Needing a new interface
Good Morning Mr. Behringer!!! LOL!!! Just thought I'd let you know that this mixer has now packed up AGAIN. THIS time it's the power supply (I think it's one or all of the caps. on the power supply). And this after not having it back for a month since the master and sub mix faders were replaced. And...
