Re: MIDI Learn - Stop the Playhead Flag
I think I may have cracked it! I just checked my midi surfaces setup and I inadvertently had both the "stop" and "playback toggle" buttons jointly assigned to my same controller pad "stop" button. By deleting the "stop" midi learn function...it seems to have n...

Re: MIDI Learn - Stop the Playhead Flag
Greg,
One extra small observation that I've just spotted is that when I press the "track stop" pad button on my LPD8, the yellow marker DOES return to the start of the main playback window (i.e hard left) but then restarts off again automatically

Re: MIDI Learn - Stop the Playhead Flag
yes...I'm mapping the main playback button to my LPD8 pad controller and the idea is that I can use this pad button to stop my performance panel tracks. But... As I indicated previously, I'm finding that when I press this pad button..although the performance panel track stops...the yellow indicator ...

Re: MIDI Learn - Stop the Playhead Flag
yes...I'm using Performance Panel... I just tried clicking the "solo" button as you suggested and it did'nt seem to have any effect on the yellow flag which keeps on rolling! By the way...I also noticed that until I can manage to stop the yellow flag..the song time indicator box also keeps...

MIDI Learn - Stop the Playhead Flag
Can someone tell me how to correctly use the MIDI learn function to assign a command to make the yellow playhead flag stop at the same time as I stop the main track...at the moment, when I stop my track (via a midi stop command on the main stop/start green triangular button in the transport function...

Re: Asking for USB Midi Control Surface Recommendations
Further thoughts on the above: I'm thinking the Novation Launchpad (or its Behringer equivalent) is probably a bit 'OTT' for my fairly simple on/off Performance Panel triggering requirements. Does anyone have any views (positive or negative) on either the Akai LPD8 or the Behringer X-Touch Mini whic...

Re: Asking for USB Midi Control Surface Recommendations
To Acoustica Greg (and others), I have the same/similar question to Davefk, I am a keyboard player looking to do some live performance using Performance Panel backing tracks. I have an exiting Roland MIDI keyboard and I have made some backing tracks on Mixcraft8 and I am now looking for a suggestion...

Re: Mixcraft 8 Keyboard Sounds.... too much sustain...not enough release!
Re Mick reply, I do deliberately have the sustain pedal pretty much constantly "on" when I'm playing and I do this by choice because I find the sustain "off" chord sounds are just too short/brutal for me and so I definitely do need some sustain on all my chords...its just that I'...

Mixcraft 8 Keyboard Sounds.... too much sustain...not enough release!
New Forum User here, I'm a novice keyboard player, recently started, and I'm currently using mainly right hand chords plus one finger left hand for bass. In order to get a half decent sound,I find that I need the keyboards sustain pedal on/down continuously but having recently acquired Mixcraft 8 Pr...
