Re: Metronome
Thanks Greg, that was very helpful. I was recording an idea with an acoustic guitar with just the pc mic. Of course it just picked up everything including the metronome.
Re: Metronome
Pressing M and shift M had no effect. Apparently the metro was recorded. How does that happen? How do I stop it from recording the metronome ?
Thanks all for your help.

Can't record Audio
Using 8.1 pro studio -build 418, Win10 -8g ram I can only record midi. When I try to record audio I get a pop-up: There was an error creating the recording file. Your recording path may be invalid, or you may not have permission to write files to the path. ????? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gr-33 Guitar Synth
I'm using a LiDiVi usb midi cable from a Gr-33 Guitar synth. My problem is that the default recording device in preferences does not recognize it. Using 8.1 Pro Studio Build 415. Used to work before, not sure why it doesn't now??

Re: Save Failed
Well, none of the suggestions worked. It won't even let me do a -save as- to a different folder. What do you think I should next? Thanks,
George

Save Failed
I suddenly cannot edit or save ANY projects. The popup says : Mixcraft failed to save the project. - The file may be in use by another application or you may be out of space on your drive. (I'm not) Driving me crazy, any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Intermittent popping noises on instrument input... can't figure out the source!
I had exactly the same problem. Of course your system is completely different than mine, but I'm using win10 also. This may sound crazy but it's a simple test you can try and it actually worked for me. Just try switching to the wave setting in preferences. See what happens.

Re: Pops, clicks
Well the upshot is this; my older pc running win10,4g ram, and using 12 tracks with 5 audio and 7 midi, craps out after the the 12th track with tons of pops and deleting the temp files had no effect. My 1 year old machine runs the same file with no problems but deleting the temp files did fix the sm...

Pops, clicks
I've posted this problem before - how to reduce pops and clicks by increasing the latency and it worked ok for a while but as I added new tracks the problem is much worse and increasing the latency has very little effect. There is no difference between Asio or WaveRT as well. Any Ideas? Thanks, Geor...

Re: clicks, pops and other artifacts
Hi Greg, wow that was easy! I was already using exclusive mode but my latency setting was too low and I doubled it like you suggested and it cleaned up everything. Thanks very much,
George
