Hi again, If you just want to time stretch the clip, there are two ways: 1) Change the clip from Adjust To Project Tempo mode, and change it to Time Stretch mode. Then you can stretch the sound any way you want without worrying about the project tempo. 2) You can also use our Flex Audio (tm) visual ...

Hi there! You're modifying the original tempo of the sound, not the playback tempo. You can change the playback tempo by setting your sound to Adjust To Project Tempo, then changing the project tempo, which can be found in the Project tab on the bottom half of the screen.

Hi -- When a track is not armed, the volume slider sets the playback level. When the track is armed, the slider sets the recording level. Recording level is very important when recording because you do not want to record too loudly, as this will cause clipping/distortion in the recording. After you'...

Try switching from ASIO mode to WAV mode before mixing down. There are some ASIO drivers in Mixcraft 3 that can cause mixdown problems. This issue has been repaired for Mixcraft 4.

Hello, When a track is armed, it will monitor the incoming levels that you're about to record. When a track is disarmed, it will show you the levels of audio you're playing back. Monitoring recording levels is primarily important when you're recording. Once you disarm, you can play back your project...

Another way to accomplish what you're trying to do -- Instead of selecting the measures that you want (which won't work) instead use the Split function to split the start and end of the measures you want to turn into a loop. You should be left with a clip that contains the measures you wish to loop....

Hello,

Make sure you have not checked the 'Monitor' checkbox. If you've checked this, and you're not using a USB turntable, you may hear an echo like you've described.

Nima, Sounds like a great setup! Your problem, based on what you said, is the lack of an external compressor. You may be trying to use Mixcraft's compressor to do your compression, but that only works after the audio has been recorded. First you have to get a clean recording into your computer, and ...

1ms latency is probably not very realistic. I use a Presonus Firepod, with ASIO drivers I can get down to 6ms or lower if I'm not running much on the computer. Actually I can do quite a bit with 6ms of latency, on a relatively fast Core 2 Duo with 2 GB of memory. At 6ms, virtual instruments have vir...

Hi there, thanks for your message. Be careful running the mixer into the microphone input -- the mixer likely puts out a line level signal and could be too strong for the mic input. If you're getting good levels though, and no distortion, then you're probably safe. It is easy to remove the vocals fr...

Our experience is that FL plugins do not work in Mixcraft, or any other host that we've tested, for that matter. They seem to be designed to only work in FruityLoops. Sorry! Any other VST effect (not VST instruments though) should work fine. There are tons of free effects out on the Internet -- chec...

Sure! Just click Next a few times to get to the screen that lets you Save Your Recording. Once its saved you can load it back up in the future, and all of your track settings and effects settings will be just as you left them. There is no Undo, but you can always hit the Analyze button and start ove...

Nice mix! The delay on the vocals is a little much - a bit distracting - but that may just be part of the genre.

Just FYI, pitch shifting is built into Mixcraft, no plug-in necessary. Give it a try!

How fast is your computer? Are you using ASIO low-latency drivers? Amplitube may use a lot of CPU, and if what you're hearing is gapping in the mixing, then you may be pushing your processor too hard, so it can't keep up with your sound card. Try freezing you electric guitar track, or increasing the...

The first step is the mute all of the plugins (unclick the little checkboxes next to the plugins) to see if the noise is coming from the effects. Then solo each track to see if the noise is somehow part of one of the tracks.

Let us know!

Thanks,
Dan
