@Greg - it was the same with the back up file, just partially loaded and then just CTD. However, I saw there was an update so I updated and the update has solved the problem - all seems great now!

Just a follow on from this if you have any ideas Cactus; everything works perfect but when i return to a project that has this set up Mixcraft CTD and I cannot access the project file- any ideas? - where would the crash log be saved?

Can't thank you enough Cactus - Transport sorted and now got the audition playing - I had a problem at first but I saw that, by default, the midi port was muted- you are a total superstar!

When I click the play on instacomposer it doesn't sync with Mixcraft 10 and just goes its own merry way instead of waiting for Mixcraft's rec...

I was led to believe that this was to be implemented in the release? - Nathan Smith's video around the 7 minute mark kinda' implies this but i saw a routing video by mixcraft showing how to route the midi channels from a multitimbral vst to different tracks in mixcraft; I can't locate that video now...

I can confirm that, as raised in my Instacomposer thread, that the midi channel split does not work for recording or playback.

Thanks for looking at it Avid, at least I know I am not missing something if you are getting the same issue. If the other plug in works then it looks like an issue with Instacomposer not being compatible with Mixcraft rather than the otherway around.

Instacomposer is a little different in that is has several tracks that can be on different midi channels; your set up puts all the parts to the same channel. Well, I got Mixcraft 10 and its great but sadly the midi routing still doesn't work with instacomposer but I'm still trying different methods.

I would like to see a more broader list of templates for midi controllers. In my case i would like to see one for the Akai APC mini

I have just dug out my Akai APC mini but i can't get it connected - has anyone had any success? I know that i managed to do it with some midi mapping in Mixcraft 8 but i cannot for the life of me remember how i did it. The mini shows up in the midi Device input section but doesn't register as a surf...
