Licensing Question Linux and Windows

Hello, If I have two computers one that has Linux installed and one that has Windows, can I install Mixcraft on each? I'm not talking about a dual boot on one machine, I'm talking about two separate installations. My goal is to migrate 100% to Linux, but there's a transitional period where there are...

Re: Problem saving my first project

Is everything on Windows setup by default to store to the cloud: OneDrive? I dunno, maybe permissions? I don't even know if Mixcraft works with OneDrive

Re: Curved automation not duplicating

IMO, herodotas, and I have no affiliation with Acoustica other than being a customer: There can't be a perpetual free version or the company could never make any money to actually keep making changes or additions. Responses to queries, updates, intermittent releases, maintaining the website all cost...

Re: Deleting "dead space" at end of track?

Just chiming in.... I don't know if it's the mixdown that's the real issue here, I would voice my pet peeve as Mixcraft doesn't stop when it reaches the end of the clips in a project, it keeps counting forward in beats/measures/time even though there is just dead space. It does seem to be triggered ...

Re: Linux version or Windows 10 tips?

Would disconnecting from the internet help manage Windows 10 constant updating and background tasks?

Re: Need some more info before trying Mixcraft

Hello, 1) time stretching algorithm? Are you an audio programming engineer? At any rate it's proprietary I believe and it's called FlexAudio. Are you really asking how far can you compress or stretch a clip before it sounds weird? I've halved or doubled the time of an entire song and it's workable -...

@comedians

I like that. That method was staring me in the face but I would never had made the connection. I'm gonna give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Headphones... Redux

Hello, This thread's a little old but: I use sony MDR 7520s for all of the flat level detailed mix settings kind of stuff. They are closed back and let me hear the the nitty gritty of the mix. I then use Sennheisser HD 558s that are open backed so I can hear more of a natural listening mode kind of ...

Excellent stuff! I listened to a whole bunch of stuff on your soundcloud channel.

The processing sounds great and you have a definite "sound." I'm nowhere near being able to pull off your production quality.

Re: Random CD Data

Hi, I haven't messed with CD burning in a while. Anyway, text is a form of Metadata as was mentioned. it's specifically called Cd-text and it's stored in the lead-in section of the CD image. A couple things that are important: whatever drive you are using to burn your CD image has to be able to supp...

Re: Drum beat programming

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Overdub is the closest that I can get to what I'm trying to do. It would be nice if there was a toggle to build a single clip with overdub as opposed to multiple lanes. The lanes are nice in that you can easily edit an individual element after the fact, but a bit...

Drum beat programming

Hello, Years ago I had a drum machine. When you wanted to program a drum beat, you chose the time signature and the number of beats/measures and the tempo. When you would hit start, the phrase would repeat with a metronome tick and you could tap various drums in time with the beat. You could keep ad...
