Re: Lyrics

Hi,

If you add a video track, theres a text option that you can use to sync words in time to the music.

You dont need to add an actual video or anything, just the video track. Then use the add text option

Re: AAS player question - any users here?

Hello, First, the AAS player is built into Mixcraft so I'm not sure if you need a separate download. Maybe because a version exists it conflicts? Second, if you are using an external keyboard or controller, if you you are sending a program change somehow of Bank 0 Patch 0 that will reset AAS to the ...

Re: Back to Mixcraft

Nice! It's got an overall cool vibe and sound. I can tell the beat is important to drive the song, but the vocals end up taking a back seat in the mix and the effect on the vocals washes them out more than enhancing them. Same with the organ? solo . It becomes atmospheric which may be the intention,...

Re: Map CC11 expression to Midi Controller

Hi, I don't think play maps specifically to expression CC. Usually with Ease West Instruments, they will have a suffix like Hard MOD, SOFT MOD, or DYN MOD. The MOD represents that the expression of the instrument is controlled by the MOD wheel. That doesn't mean it's CC 11. Becuase of the complex la...

Re: Mixcraft included izotope mastering essentials - same as elements?

I believe essentials was specifically designed for acoustica mixcraft since release 6. i use other Izotope products. The assistant, if it functions the same as the full version, can be kinda of helpful. For example, if you made an EDM tune and you just love how a particular Antiserum song was master...

Re: Never seen the built-in tuner actually work

hi, 1) plug in external instrument or mic to audio interface 2) arm audio track with input channel routed from interface 3) play external instrument and make sure view meters in Mixcraft react. If no reaction check audio interface if input is muted 4) click on the tuning fork on the audio track to m...

Re: Getting different track lengths on multi-mic recording?

Hi, I'm not familiar with the unit but it seems like a syncing issue in the hardware. You are pluging mics and guitars in so those are analog signals. Is the Berhinger splitting those into separate ADAT channels that you are setting as inputs? Often you need to go through the settings to be sure you...

Re: cutoff (etc.) with assigned controller only on selected track?

By default that's the MIDI cutoff CC. You bring up a good point, if the VST synth doesn't default to that then what I suggest might not work in which case - add the MIDI control on the VST and use a separate CC mapping for each instrument

Re: cutoff (etc.) with assigned controller only on selected track?

Interesting. I can replicate this behavior and it seems like it should be track specific. You could map an individual CC to each controller. That will work. However, depending on your intention, I wouldn't nessarily use a MIDI controller in that way by adding it to the VST plugin instrument. If you ...

Re: Are there track/audio clip associations?

Hi,

I think you might be interested in using the performance panel. The performance panel allows you to manage a series of clips non liniarly before you record your song to the arranger.

Check out this video for a quick intro:

Re: Recording mode - Takes vs Replace

My tests were performed with setting the recording mode on the track itself I see where the difference is. If I loop a section, replace acts like takes. It will build lanes. If I don't loop the section and start record from within a previously recorded section, then replace acts like it should. I th...

Re: Mixing orchestral and jazz pieces from Musescore

That must be very frustrating. Doesn't sound like it has anything to do with Mixcraft. that's a function of the IK Phil... and their support it seems. Did you download the free tirial of Mixcraft and just load in a couple of your MIDI files as new projects just to test out the default sounds that co...

Re: Recording mode - Takes vs Replace

hmmm. I wonder if that is a bug. Replace is supposed to act like take recording in MIDI recording mode but it's supposed to replace existing audio when recording audio tracks.

It behaves just like take in both. I think there is a bug.

Re: Re-amping

ste_p0270, Check the input and output gain on the Helix. Your Helix is operating in a send loop right now and the wet dry mix on the effect unit itself as well as the input and output gain will affect the resulting signal. The routing would look like: Dry Guitar Track > Output Bus (OB) > OB to physi...
