Re: Question about Mixcraft's EQ
...However, by comparison, when I used the parametric EQ knobs on the channel strips to clean out all of the Lo and Mid ranges, there was still a noticable muddiness in the Hi-hats and cymbals. You can still here those mid-range "clicks" and harshness and it just won't go away. The "...

MC 10.5 Change Instrument Dialog doesn't show details on Open
Hello, Since upgrading to MC pro 10.5 build 596, the change instrument dialog defaults to a non-detailed view. I have to click on "Show Details" to get the screen to expand so I can see my instrument selections and setup. Is there a way to change this to always show the instruments selecte...

Nope. The beta version was better. Scratch that, the alpha version
Joking aside, people like what they had gotten used to and are familiar with

Re: My Noo Video for Noobs.
Trev, your points definitely hit home. Years ago, it got into my head that i needed some kind of accoustically perfect mic sound booth type environment when recording at home. My goal was only to get ideas down but somehow i got caught up in the hype that I had to have a "professional level&quo...

Re: Many crashes
I wonder if it has to do with graphics cards or drivers. There have been a few posts on the forums with crashing. Could it be a specific graphics card and scale setting? Is it the dark theme vs the light theme? Is it the scale in MC (anything other than 100%)? Are these multiple display monitor setu...

Re: Audio interface Constantly Failing to be recognized
If after updating your drivers it still doesn't work what if you try ASIO4ALL?
It's usually best to use the manufacturer's drivers but, give ASIO4ALL a shot and see if it makes a difference.

Re: Does anyone have Ryzen 9 experience?
I think the "AMD" vs "Intel" argument is really for niche users. Any general user that isn't a scientist who needs 64 cores in a threadripper or doesn't care to overclock their intel i9 to 9.1ghz with a liquid nitrogen tank attached, isn't going to notice a difference between cat...

Re: Frequencies
Cool.
I think it helps with a quick visual if one wants to target "opening up" a little space EQ wise for certain instruments to cut through the mix, or be reduced.

Re: Does anyone have Ryzen 9 experience?
Hi, I think my friend has one (the mini pc). He says it's great. He has 64 gigs installed on it. I think the only thing he mentioned was the graphics card seems to be behind a generation or two. As far as the graphics card, I don't think that should matter. I run mixcraft with an HD 4000 from 2012 a...

Re: 96kHz Query
Hi,
I think it would have to down sample or else the playback speed of the 96 wouldn't match the 48. At a playback rate of 48, only half of the 96 data would be replayed for any particular instant. That means the sound is slowed down or the 96 has to down sample to the lower resolution.

Re: Midi Controller Bug
Adding in: This is a very frustrating problem. While saving presets does save the instrument settings of the VST, adding any type of controller does not become part of the preset . It seems that the controllers are functioning completely independently. They are part of a project and therefore reload...

Re: Using Mixcraft instrument to play quarter tones?
Hi, You might be able to get away with a little MIDI setup on certain VSTs to play quarter tones. For example, using the Messiah 2 synthesizer there is a Master Tune knob. It ranges from -2.00 to +2.00. That means its tonal range is from one whole step down to one whole step up. If the numbers repre...

Re: Tap Project Tempo
You ain't got no rhythm
Just kidding. Try mapping the tap button to a MIDI key. An input device like a mouse may be interfering with your results. Generally when I tap the BPM all falls within 1 or 2 beats up or down - usually at about 8 or 9 taps.

Re: Tap Project Tempo
You can set a tempo by tapping the tap button in time. A single tap doesn't do anything. You have to repeatedly tap it to set a tempo.
