Re: 32 bit or 64 bit

No reason to even think about not using the 64 bit version. It sounds like you're starting fresh, and even asking the question implies you don't have any pressing 32 bit needs. One of the reasons I went with MC is because they had the 32 to 64 bit bridge built in, and it seems to be pretty good at it.

Re: 64 vs 32 bit (yeah, again - sorry)

You should be good with the 32 bit versions, unless there are known problems with those plugins. You could use the version number to search this site for any previous post.

Re: Lanes and MIDI

What else would you want to use lanes for? The only thing to look out with Xpand2 is that it only uses midi channels 1-4, so you have to make sure that the midi in the clip is also set to the right midi channel. I'd sometimes run into the same problem with it and had to edit the Program Channel in t...

Re: Windows Update Last night NOW POPS

As they say it is the nature of the beast. You are going to have to directly monitor your vocals through your audio interface.

Re: Strike 2 by AIR

Want to talk about being late to the party! That is a known issue with the plugin. There is a post about it on their KVR forum, where I see that you already posted about it. I would just insert a note to control it live instead of having to drag a wave file. I don't use it anymore. I also just searc...

Re: Notes not playing on VSTi

Since we're only talking 4 or 5 notes and I can hit other notes instead, no, that's definitely not it. Very strange. Still sounds like a polyphony problem , how many voices are assigned to a note? You can change the number of voices on some of them. You could also have another track using the same ...

... And yes you can probably add a MIDI utility and create a workaround. ... Yes, its something that needs to be addressed in future versions. This has been requested and the request acknowledged -- perhaps multiple times -- in the Suggestions thread. That's what I thought, but wasn't sure about. H...

Re: Guide Track?

Yeah, the thing about Scaler and other such "Utilities" is that you can't record the full midi output. The nice thing about Scaler is that it will let you drag and drop into your DAW. I believe Scaler only comes with a few sounds internally, so that's probably what's happening. You can als...

Re: Academic Question about gain peaking

Thanks for bearing with me. I may be in the same boat as you, as I'm struggling to make sure I understand the question. I was thinking of the damage that could be physically done by creating and using increased headroom like that. One transient peak leads to another, next thing you know your stadium...

It's not that its impossible, it's just not a desirable thing. This might shed some light on why. https://spectrum.ieee.org/semiconductor ... sy-in-cuba

Ultimately power is going to be your friend here, so yes you could say that. I'm not really the academic type, so I'll defer a real answer to someone here that really knows their stuff. The best I can do is point you to another video that will hopefully get a smile from you. https://www.youtube.com/...

Re: Academic Question about gain peaking

Right off the bat you set a "reference" of 0 db, so when you keep adding tracks(energy in the form of waves), at some point you're going to exceed the capabilities of the the electronics to be able to deliver a clean signal back to you without eventually producing puffs of smoke. That's re...

Re: Academic Question about gain peaking

I would just assume it's because of the limitations of your DAC. At some point you're going to have to bring it on home, unless this is an Android?

Do you mean something like this?

Re: Mixcraft 8 doesn't detect Amplitube 4

Well, I'd say your first problem is trying to load the 32 bit version, when you should be loading the 64 bit version. I can't imagine your new computer is 32 bit?

I'm not the expert here, but I believe you have it looking in the wrong directory. I put my 32 bit in Program files (x86).
