What's up with FreeSound?
FreeSound.org doesn't seem to be loading this morning, is this something new or is it a goner?

Re: I don't update to version 10 and I'm leaving Mixcraft.
There are a few options to get around that problem, one is to make sure the VSTi MIDI input isn't set to omni, one is a MIDI filtering plugin by CodeFN42 you can insert to your instrument chain, and yet another is to assign a fixed MIDI channel to the lane which should ignore other channels IIRC. I ...

Why not change the MIDI channel of the notes you don't want to hear to one that isn't in use?
MX10 even lets you set the color by MIDI channel to see which ones are on or off.

Re: Panning a Clip
Hi, the difference is you're moving the automation envelope on the clip itself instead of anything on the track. If you want to pan the whole thing, just grab the white handle that appears when you have your mouse pointer over the clip. Make sure the clip menu up top is set to Pan and not Volume. Na...

Re: Panning a Clip
Hi, the clip automation functions are up top just between the gear icon for the preferences menu and the snap menu. By default it is set to volume, so just scroll down to pan and you will be able to pan each clip independently.

Re: Tempo change on imported .wav file
On a similar note, I have caught a few projects revert to 120bpm that were not saved that way. I just wrapped up a video this morning that was 80bpm but somehow it reopened at 120bpm and all the clips were wrong, but resetting the tempo to 80 made everything ok. Moral of the story: to avoid having a...

Benchmarking standard for Mixcraft?
What do you think of setting up some kind of standard benchmark test for Mixcraft performance? As Skies Grew Dark load time? Export to MP3? Number of Neutron instances? I'm about to upgrade my CPU from a 4570s to a 4790s with the realization that it's still going to be long in the tooth, so it would...

Re: Dumb Question - from someone who should know better
Not sure that this applies, but the beat reference in Mixcraft is quarter note only, so if you have a song that's in 6/8 or something like that, the tempo will be way off, because it is customary to use a dotted quarter note in that situation: ONE two three FOUR five six. Whereas with Mixcraft it's ...

Re: Why Core Audio allows higher quality than interface specs
Mixcraft relies on your interface driver to populate the audio settings in the preferences menu. If your driver is set to 16 bit for instance, that is what gets reported to MC, so you won't see a 24 bit option unless you increase your driver settings.
