Re: Audio Interface Survey

I used an SPL Crimson interface, with a win 7 computer built 2011 via usb2 . The microphone gains a little touchy near max, but great features that work with my solo recording. I like the monitor mix feature the best. swing over the DAW recorded tracks vs a microphone take, easy to monitor vocals th...

Impression of 10

I had been using Mixcraft for 6 years and some. Up graded my 9 Pro to 10 Pro. Here are my impressions. Once installed, two start ups and adjust drivers and project folder settings, open up one of my projects, first thing became apparent, someone been working on the load style, I instantly liked the ...

One Year Later

Well I have been a happy Mixcraft for a good year so far, I been a faithful Sonarian user, since the late 90’s, the software went through several iterations, over a few decades. Of course the community went viral with the discontinuation of support of that DAW when Gibsons restructured the company t...

Re: Lanes???

Take lanes are great for workflow. Imagine during recording your having a great time laying down tracks, but sometimes during a creative moment we make a flub, when a musical inspiration is flowing. Maybe the first portion of a track while soloing is spot on then for some reason we fall out of place...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

It would be nice to have a button on the control bar, to choose stop upon spot or click for automatic rewind when desired. I find when recording, automatic rewind makes my work flow easy, but when editing, stop on the spot is preferable. That feature is under options, at present, would be nice to se...

Re: Build 412 has been released.

if you have build 412 installed, it should say that you're all up to date when you check for updates.
Yes once I spotted that selection, some dialog prompts...latest updates installed

Re: Build 412 has been released.

I found the build 412 and downloaded ... when opening the installer ...tried demo selection ... ran through the install. My main concern, was the send dails now retain their position when returning to a project. I could be suffering from Sonar association ... I see an update launch under help "...

Re: Build 412 has been released.

I found the build 412 and downloaded ... when opening the installer, clicked on valid registration code, pasted in
registration ID and registration code, provided to me when I purchased build 408, obviously that's associated with build 408. What should I do to update?

Re: Waves SSLComp Stereo (VST3) Plugin compatibility?

About a year ago I bought two Waves plugins. Recently I noticed that the J37 tape emulator does justice to a mix when played at moderate volumes. When assigning my many plugins in groups, I chosen the VST3 with the J37, suddenly some erratic looping happened with MC8, then it would kick out. Dumped ...

Do you have instruments appear in Kontakt player when run in standalone mode?

Re: Mixing out of the box

From what I read on mixing outside the DAW vs mixing inside DAW can be an inconclusive argument. Old school season studio sound engineers, most will attest that the console is better, period. Of course if your in a profession studio with loads of high end equipment, SSL or Neve boards with racks ful...

Re: Apparently, you DO have to live like a refugee...

Well it was Tom Petty's Refugee song that caught my attention of that late talented recording artist. I jumped on the Acoustica software only yesterday, and sure it amused me when manipulating elements of tracks when spicing up a tune. tonight. In a nutshell, a different tact behavior of the graphic...

Re: Greeting from a SONAR Platinum refugee

Well Sonar refugees ...Here's an issue I noticed with Melodyne registration. Firstly when I clicked on Melodyne upon a wave, sure as wet paint, the registration showed up. Googled found a link from Acoustica, got serial number, away we go ...yipee!! Now I registered Melodyne with Sonar X3d some year...

Re: Greeting from a SONAR Platinum refugee

Hello Mixcrafterian's ... have been a Sonar user and converted over. I put the brakes on when Sonar became the life time updates, a few years back I must admit when the cat was let out of the bag, the Sonar community became hysteric, fun reading. Because I poked around with DAW, converting over was ...
