Re: Amp Modeling?
S-Gear is an excellent amp sim. I have many and that's my go-to. I play guitar and I design and build amplifiers.

No transport
I've been away for quite a while. First thing I did was to install the latest update and load a file. For some reason the transport no longer engages. It goes into play mode but nothing happens. IS this a bug, a windows issue or something else? This is MC 8 Pro Studio.

Re: Notes not playing on VSTi
Is it possible you are reaching the limit of how many notes the VST can play at one time? On most of my virtual instruments this can be an issue. Usually they will drop a note until the notes sounding have reduced. Notes that have a long decay time can also be cut short.

Re: Support for linking 2 hours of songs?
What if you put a number of songs into a project one after the other and used a marker at the end of each song to start playback of the next one? When I record spoken word, the chapters get recorded in sequence and I navigate between them in this way.

Re: First Impressions
As another noob coming from Sonar I can agree with your general impressions of the product. I think they're similar to mine. We differ on the highs and lows and I think that's normal. Everyone has their own particular take on what software should do, or not do. The only place where I see a big diffe...

Re: How to ID 32 bit Mixcraft plugs
So are all the bundled plugs and VSTi's 32 bit? It's important. I have at least 300 plugs so I'll never be short of them. They're all 64 bit. I guess all the cool synths are 32 bit as well? I'd really like a list because I've committed to a full 64 bit system and software. Could we get a list of wha...

How to ID 32 bit Mixcraft plugs
In the past I've had many problems that were a result of mixing 32 bit plugs in my 64 bit system. I want to avoid this in Mixcraft but I have no idea what is 32 bit in the bundled VSTi's or plugs.
How can I determine what is 32 bit so I can exclude it from my projects?

Re: Getting the VOCALS LOUDER?
Another thing you might try is making room for the vocals in the mix. What I mean is that if everything is panned to centre then you may be getting some masking of the vocals. Try moving some of the instruments away from centre and let the vocals breath a bit. That should help your cause.

Re: Mixcraft MIDI is killing me
Thanks for the info Greg. I'll try what you suggest I have viewed those and they don't have what I want. I'm trying to make some simple backing tracks. The midi notes are there and the synths are there but I can't tell what midi channel each track is transmitting. It's easy on the synth end to adjus...

Mixcraft MIDI is killing me
I don't use it much, but midi is usually pretty simple for me. Not so much in Mixcraft. I'm used to having separate midi and VST tracks and routing the midi notes to the synth I want. I can't figure it out in this DAW. I imported a MIDI file, once I figured out Mixcraft calls this add sound file, an...

Re: Recording VST audio
Yes, that's step one. It's really easy in Mixcraft. What I want to do after that, is to record the audio coming out of those tracks. I like to work with audio tracks. Reaper does it, as does Sonar. I still have not figured it out in Mixcraft.
