Aren't you glad to have such eager beta testers? ;)

Metronome

Since the installation crashed, I'm not posting these as "official" bugs. More of note for those who had the same problem as I did and still want to try out MC5 alpha. The metronome sounds are missing, you have to set them manually in the preferences. If the installation would go all the w...

Installation crashes

Howdy! I take this opportunity to be the first one! I installed MC5 beta and it crashes, unable to unzip Lounge Lizard Electric piano(2).zip. You can run MC5 anyway, straight from the C:\Program Files\Acoustica Mixcraft 5\mixcraft5.exe Instruments are missing, but anyway you can get a glimpse on MC5...

Works ok

I tested quickly with my XP machine. No trouble with Toneport UX1 and ASIO drivers. Sounds fine. Latest Toneport version and Gearbox and MC4 versions. You probably already know this, but you are not connecting Toneport to an external USB hub? (If you have connected Toneport to monitor's USB port, it...

SOLVED!

SOLVED!

ASIO4ALL had come bundled with some software, I haven't used it.

I suddenly remembered reading about ASIO4ALL having waveRT support. I removed it and the blue screen seems gone now! :) Maybe there was a conflict between two drivers, Line6 and ASIO4ALL.

Well, with USB devices there is no need to use waveRT, if the waveRT support for USB isn't native, "true". If all I have read is true, I can't see how waveRT would be better than ASIO with USB devices if the support for waveRT is added extra baggage. Every extra piece of software adds late...

No WaveRT for USB-devices

Finally I found this bit in the British newspaper Guardian (of all the places!) "[another] weakness of WaveRT is that it only works with internal sound devices, not external devices connected by USB or Firewire. Some professional audio drivers bypass the built-in audio engine, using Steinberg's...

Yes, it's beta

The trouble is that I can't contact Line6 support saying that their driver probably crashed my computer while I was testing a beta software, can I? I can already guess what they would say, so I was hoping to find someone who has the same equipment as I have, and to hear if he/she has any trou...

Toneport

Thank you for the reply.

I've got their latest drivers, but I am just curious if other people have got similar problems. It would be good to know that before contacting them.

Am I the only one? ;)

Cheers,
M.

Trouble with Line6 Toneport, MC4 and Vista?

Howdy! Does anyone else have trouble with the combination of Line6 Toneport (UX1), Windows Vista, Mixcraft4 (/w WaveRT drivers)? I'm getting the blue screen of death when recording. It flashes, saying the L6*.sys file caused crash and then computer reboots. (All drivers are up-to-date) Line6 Gearbox...

An option to add a note to a track? (no pun intended)

Hi! Ok, this UI improvement suggestion for the "nice but not necessary" section: an option to enter a couple of lines of text for each track. A possibility to write a short note for each track, e.g which effects did I use when I recorded this track. If I later want to re-record it with sam...

UI improvement suggestion

Hi! I don't know if this has already been suggested: When selecting effect settings, it would be nice to be able to scroll back and forth with cursor keys. I was listening my recording and looking for a proper reverb. To test the saved settings I had to click the list open and click the setting, and...
