Hey Vincent... sounds like you're already half way there... the thing about 'Fishfillets' is that they put their plugins into their own folder so if you've installed them into your VST Folder they will be in what's called a Sub-Folder... so go to Preferences>Effects and click on 'Add' this will open...

Mixcraft v Melodyne plugin

I dunno if anyone here uses the Melodyne Plugin (or would admit they need to lol) :P but I've been giving it a try.... it works ok in Mixcraft except for when I save my project then go back later and open it again... the problem is that the 'blobs' for editing in the Melodyne plugin are gone... appa...

Just an after thought here.... kind of a shot in the dark.... but my Yamaha Synth has pipes on it... although I never did rate the bagpipes on it that much (but I'll check them out again... never use them that much).... but the pan pipes and flutes and whistles are quite good for Irishy/Scottish typ...

Perhaps a "Collaboration' thread for all genres may be a useful tool for those of us trying to put albums together and a clever way for some entrepreneurial musicians to make a few dollars/pounds from home. Any pipers interested can I.M. me here. Regards. Jim Sounds like fun.... kinda like Chi...

Not sure why the fruity loops plugins don't work... may be that they are only made for fruity loops alone... as for iZotope that should be fine in Mixcraft 3

Here's another method. Snip out the section that needs effects. Paste it to another track. add the effects mix down the snippet to a wav file, effects and all. insert the wet wav file snippet back into it's original position. Yeah.. that actually sounds like the best....and easiest idea.... thanks ...

Cheers mate... I'm not sure what it reminds me of... it's a bit cheesy but the daughter likes that kinda stuff lol... it's not really the kinda music I'm into.. which made it more of a challenge... I was more interested in getting the mix of it balanced regardless of the song.

You want other people besides friends and relative sto give your stuff a listen. In the end, it's what you like, not other people, it's your stuff. Ok I managed to get my first Mastered song up... I put it in the user showcase... just cuz I didn't know where else to put it lol http://demon.acoustic...

Mastering Trial

Ok here's the first song I've written and tried to Master with Mixcraft... wasn't sure if I should put it in the user showcase... it's not really that good to be showing off lol... really I just need some feedback on how well/terrible I did with the Mastering of it (holds breath). Bit of background...

You don't apply the effect to the whole track. You copy the track. Then snip the track to only what you need. You can also split the dry track at the beginning and end of the effects section. Then highlight the split section. Then just move that section down or up to a new track. Apply your effect ...

That would actually be very handy to be able to do that. I applied an effect to a spoken voice section of my song... it was actually an effect to make the guy sound like it was taken off an old record.... ya know... like all crackly and ...well old sounding... all was great until it got to the end o...
