Re: cd and dvd burning software

ImgBurn. I've used it to burn 100's of DVDs and a few CDs.

Re: Record multiple inputs on separate tracks?

Thanks Sturdy. But I'm going to need 8 tracks. I'll check out Personous. Everything I've seen so far is $400 -$500. I run a Behringer U-Phoria 1820 and it works well. I've recorded live drums in various configurations and have been pleased. Software gets updated every so often so no issues there. I...

Re: Trigger kick drum from a track

Many of the drum replacement VSTs will have a trial period. I've used Addictive Trigger from Addictive Drums pretty extensively on an EP I'm working on, and man is it great. Lots of adjustments for threshold, bleed, EQ, etc. Search them out and give it a try. If you can wait for Black Friday they se...

You could add a video track to the project and have the lyrics as video text.

I work remotely in MX with a musician friend who does exactly this and it works great.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

....But on topic with DAWs, I feel MC kinda lacks in the mixdown (audio engine) and what goes in comes out slightly narrow, less defined, compared to other DAWs I've tested. Samplitude Pro X4, Logic, as examples. Which sounds more 'honest' 'neutral' nothing to alter the source. I would love to hear...

Re: Recording and Playback of Track Automation

Yes, that works perfectly, thanks. I'm not sure why I wasn't able to glean that from the manual, or why it didn't seem to work when I tried it last night. But that's exactly what I would expect and what I was looking for. Thank you!

Recording and Playback of Track Automation

Do I understand correctly that if I want to use a slider to adjust volume for automation, i.e. "a little softer on the verse, a little louder on the chorus", I can connect an external MIDI controller and map it, but I cannot use the track fader of the built in mixer? Everything I've seen o...

Pops On Punch In / Out

I don't recall having this happen before and I've done a lot of punch in recording w loops on vocal tracks. Today, punching in a bass part I get an audible pop on the in and out points. I'm recording using takes, Behringer 1820 interface with latest asio driver, tried buffer on both 128 and 256 with...

Download and check out the Mixcraft manual, near the back they list (or maybe most) of the effects and instruments.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Firstly, Thank You MX team for all you do. I truly love this program and find almost no faults with it. I know there is a workaround on individual clip properties, but it would be helpful (especially for folks recording drums) to have a Phase or Polarity switch on the Mixer channel strips. This requ...

Re: Video editing is terrible slow: unusable! - because of AMD-VideoCard?

I would get the latest stable driver for your video card from the chipset manufacturer (AMD or NVIDIA). Uninstall whatever driver you have now first, then install that.
What is the source of the video, what camera or device? iPhone, Canon DSLR, etc?

Separate One Stereo Track Into Two Tracks

I have searched here and in the manual, it *seems* like this is something you'd be able to do, but maybe not. I bring in a stereo file (click on one side, the track on the other) to a track in MX, and I want to separate the L and R channels into individual tracks. I thought I could at least do it by...
