Re: Any update on Mixcraft 10?
I'm considering switching over to Mac completely here soon, but a release of Mixcraft 10 would hold me back from a complete switch. I've loved Mixcraft 9 and am eager to see what features the next version will have. Hope it's not too far out! But also I'd rather you guys took the time you needed to...

Re: MIDI Controller Keyboard Survey
Are there any good controller keyboards with proper piano action. I mostly just use the midi out on my Clavinova at home, because that proper piano feel is so good. But I"d really like to find a dedicated midi keyboard with 88 keys of *proper* weighted action AND pitch/modulation and whatever a...

Game From Scratch review.
This is an interesting one. The guys not a musician, but his channel is one of the top channels for software developers who write Game software. He seems pretty enthralled by Mixcraft, which shouldn't be surprising as Mixcraft has one of the lowest barriers to entry for beginners of any Daw, really ...

Re: RE: Recording MIDI from Ample Sound guitars
Bumping to say this really should be a priority, as its a show stopper. I'd love to upgrade to the latest version, but that missing feature means its incredibly inconvenient to use mixcraft in my workflow.

Re: Midi Routing
Conceptually it seems easy enough. Midi outs from VSTs exposed as Midi ins. As to what the implementation difficulty is, well thats not for me to say, but it seems like it ought be easy enough?

Re: EW Play works
How does it work when rendering to a final file? I had EW play working fine except for when I got to that , and itd start rendering weird cutting the tails off notes.

Midi Routing
So the big show stopper for v8 (And to be clear I adored everything else about it) was the innability to route midi from out of an Audio trac to a midi track. This might seem a strange usecase, but I like to do guitar synth for a lot of my stuff, and Jam Audios Midi Guitar is the king of this. You f...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Reitterating it so it doesn't get lost in the noise: Being able to route midi *out* of VSTs that exist on audio tracks. Example being the Jam Origin's excellent Midi Guitar software. This is a major show stopper (And yeah I've tried the suggestion to run it separately and run it via midi loop, doesn...

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?
The two big ones for me (and the reason im primarily using Studio one right now) 1) Midi routing. I absolutely love Jam Origins guitar to midi plugin. It blows the foors off all those crusty guitar synths Ive owned over te years, but theres no neat way to route midi out of a plug in an audio track t...

Re: MIDI Controller Keyboard Survey
Main keyboard is a Yamaha Clavinova. Its a great piano, and it doubles as a pretty great keyboard controller. Second keyboard an old Roland Cakewalk midi controller. And a bunch of stage-broken others lying around. I want one of these though;- https://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=42...

Re: Mixdown issues with EastWest
The issue was never Stuttering. The issue is it cutting the ends off *all* the notes at release instead of letting them ring out. Its definately a bug, not a performance issue. But I don't know if its in Play or Mixcraft (Kontakt doesn't do it in Mixcraft. Play doesnt do it in Studio One/etc. Its......

Re: Interfaces: define "ins" and "outs"
Often the better interfaces include ADAT(sometimes called a "lightpipe") which typically includes 8 input and 8 outputs per ADAT connector. These are important if your planning on recording drums, or a full band live recording. You then add something like the 8Pre or Octopre, or if your no...

Re: Mixdown issues with EastWest
Thats fine and all, but the Play plugin really is multitrack beast, think Kontakt, but different manufacturer. Most of my tracks have 4-5 instances with 7-8 audio tracks per plugin. Its a *huge* pain in the neck to dump them all out to stems and remix them again, especially with film scoring where y...

Re: Mic for mac
Theres some respectably decent USB Condensor mics on the market these days that combine a condensor thats tuned for voices and the like and a small preamp and USB interface. Might be worth investigating. Blue usually make good quality in this regards.

Re: Major timing flaw while loop recording audio ???
Is this a zero crossing thing? Ideally when cutting between loops you either want to cross fade, or make sure the loop is starting and ending at the zero position of the wave form (Right on the line) to avoid causing a DC pop. I gather most DAWs do this automatically, but if its not, its easy enough...
