Loading any mx# except mx9 from a backup
I have a slew of project files from .mx4 to .mx9. I recently had a PC motherboard blow out, and upon restoring my project files via a backup on to a new PC, I have found that mx9 files from said backup do not load. "Mixcraft failed to load the project: It may be corrupt." Projects from ear...

Re: 32 bit plugins preventing loading of projects in 64 bit Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio
Hi, So, it's just that one particular 32-bit plugin, correct? [\quote] To be honest, it's the only 32 bit plugin with which I use automation. Automation on an automation lane causes the problem? Any old automation, or a particular kind of automation? Only if it's a parameter of the plugin. Volume a...

Re: 32 bit plugins preventing loading of projects in 64 bit Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio
Hi, Are you using v8.1 build 418? Yes, 64 bit Which plugin causes the problem? It's a plugin called Super PSG: http://www.alyjameslab.com/alyjameslabsuperpsg.html It's an emulation of the 8-bit SN76489 sound chip. Keep in mind that it only causes a problem with loading if I use automation on at lea...

Re: 32 bit plugins preventing loading of projects in 64 bit Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio
Hi, Are you using Mixcraft 9.0 build 460? Which 32-bit plugin? Greg I haven't upgraded to 9 yet, though I intend to when the money is right :) I'm currently still on 8 Pro Studio, which has been fantastic. I recently upgraded to a much more powerful laptop to get more power for high end plugins I h...

Re: I don't want to say goodbye to Mixcraft
I'd say make sure that your sample rates are the same on absolutely everything. If you want to use 48kHz 24bit, then make sure all audio devices on your PC are set to that, as well as Mixcraft. Same goes for 44.1kHz. As long as everything is set the same (both sample rate and bit depth), you can avo...

32 bit plugins preventing loading of projects in 64 bit Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio
So, when I use a 32 bit plugin, it doesn't cause any issues besides a tiny bit of lag when saving. But when I use automation on at least one parameter on so much as one instance of a 32 bit plugin, this doesn't cause problems until later. Later, I'll find out that I have a project that loads to 100%...

Automation is nice
But there is room for improvement. This is really a feature suggestion/request, but I want input from other users to see if it's just me. Well, you already know how any parameter can be controlled via automation. One thing about it that drives me up the wall is that the automation on parameters is 0...

Re: Changing presets/instruments on single instrument track
Hi, It would vary from plugin to plugin. Some plugins, like our Acoustica Instruments virtual instrument, follow the General MIDI standard: General MIDI 1 . Greg I tried it with RYM2612, the plugin for which I wanted instrument changes. It did not work. I'm stuck with the two options of: 1) multipl...

Re: Changing presets/instruments on single instrument track
Thanks for the reply.
But with a plugin, how would this work? Would I have to set up presets and experiment with the values on the controller area?

I see there's a showcase for users to show off their works. I might as well throw this oddity out there.

Changing presets/instruments on single instrument track
I'm talking about doing this with a plugin. I've used automation to change all of the sliders on a plugin for a one-tine instrument change, but how would I do this more easily for more frequent changes on a plugin? There's got to be a way. I just got finished a project with too many instrument track...

I can't find the history...
Hello there. I am looking for a complete history of all builds of Mixcraft and all of the features, packaged plugins, bug fixes, etc. contained within each one. Something similar to a changelog, I suppose, but with more detail. Does such a thing exist? If so, please point me to it, someone. It's pur...

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?
This is the number one reason I still use mixcraft 7 despite owning 8 recording studio and pro studio. I probably will buy 9 too but god I really wish they would add a toggle to have the old midi clobbering. Also the tabs can't be scrunched down nearly as far in mixcraft 8. These seem like small is...
