Does it happen if you try turning off WaveRT exclusive mode? Some sound devices do not work properly with Vista and WaveRT. If that's the case,then I would recommend upgrading to Windows 7 or switching to ASIO mode for getting low latency. Although, I have not heard of this particular problem before...

You could possibly add another effect on the effect chain after the effect that is making noise. You would have to find a third party noise reduction effect....in which you would 'feed'/sample the noise print...and then set it into noise reduction mode. At this time, Mixcraft does not have a list of plugins that it will use. It has a list of VST folders. The best option is to create a folder such as C:\VSTS\ and then add a subfolder for each effect that you want. IE: lets say you add a new effect and you put it in a folder called C:\VSTS\Effect 1\ ...

There is a plugin or effect that is not happy with the mix down settings.
I would look at the effects or virtual instruments that you have loaded.
Try turning them off one at a time until you find the culprit.

Edit the VSTIgnore.ini file in your Mixcraft folder and add the line

.dll

This will help you skip all DLLS..Then go into your Preferences and remove the folder that you do not want.
Then remove the ".dll" line from your VSTIgnore.ini file.

Mixcraft will not burn video directly. It will burn audio CDs, though. Video support is coming in version 5. I would use something like Windows DVD Maker or a video burning program, depending on which flavor of Windows you are using.

I would split the sound at 1 minute intervals (Ctrl+T). Then click on the Sound Details and adjust the pitch of each clip to the desired setting.
