Ahhhhh, that explains it. wnaspi32.dll wasn't present on either of my Vista machines so there was nothing for Mixcraft to default to in lieu of wnaspint. After adding a renamed copy of frog aspi to my system32 directory all is well. Thanks for the follow up

Thanks Greg. I know my printers and scanner have 64 bit drivers available. When you mention compatible hardware does that include external USB DVD-RW drives? I had assumed they would be compatible since the necessary drivers are contained in Windows. At least that was the case in XP.

Yes, I'm a registered user of Spin It Again and I use it often to restore old LP's and cassettes. But I don't see the connection as far as track mixing is concerned.
