Re: Panning stereo tracks

Thanks for the reply. So the quickest way I could figure out to do this was to duplicate the stereo track twice and then on each duplicate track:

Sound | Properties | Channels | Left (and then Right)

Is there a way I could just duplicate the stereo track once and have it merge both channels to one?

Panning stereo tracks

I have an old song on the grid, I'm starting by redoing the drum program, I want to hear the old track in my left speaker and the new track in the right, but I just found out the panning doesn't work on stereo tracks. Is there any way to split these stereo tracks to left and right without creating n...

Re: Need to Save as MIDI but I Set the Wrong Key

I got it figured out, just in case someone happens to search and find this thread . . .

* Highlight all notes on the midi track, go to Sound tab | Transpose, raise as many semitones as the key shift.

* Raise the key from C.

* Bring the transpose back down to 0.

Need to Save as MIDI but I Set the Wrong Key

All the midi sounds perfect in Mixcraft, but then when I go to save it and bring it in to MuseScore, I realize I never set the right key signature for the song. How do I adjust my key signature without changing the pitch of the midi? I can transpose the notes back to the right pitch, but then of cou...

Melodyne Editing

So I'm looking to post a Melodyne question to the Celemony's Melodyne forum and I'm greeted with this: With the release of Melodyne 4, so many aspects of the program have changed that most info which could be found on our User Forum has become outdated and obsolete. Moreover, we feel that an online ...

Re: What Mastering FX Do You Use on Your Master Track?

Here I was thinking there may be a standard little bit of polish most people used to master all their tracks, but some good tips here. Notes to self: * Bookmark https://www.loudnesspenalty.com * The better your individual tracks sound, the less mastering needed. * EQ, compression and limiter on the ...

What Mastering FX Do You Use on Your Master Track?

Here's what I currently use on all my master tracks:

FSQ 1964 Transient Vitaliser = Crystal Highs
iZotope Mastering Essentials = Stereo Widen

I'm curious to know what other people are using.

Melodyne Woes

I'm told Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio should come with Melodyne Essentials, but on my attempts to activate it, all I could get was a trial version of Melodyne Studio. Not sure why, but here are three other things I'm having trouble with: When I fire up Mixcraft and go to the Melodyne editor on the sound ta...

What version of Melodyne comes with purchase of Mixcraft 8?

The only version of Melodyne I can get to work with my purchase of Mixcraft is Melodyne Player (all you can do is look at the notes, no editing). Is there no other functionality that comes with my purchase of Mixcraft 8? On top of that, I can't even get the trial version of Melodyne Studio to work. ...

Why is this one track half-height?

I don't know how I shrinked the 2nd track to half-height, what it means, or how to put it back.
