Re: Optimal small studio configuration and setup recommendations required.

I think I get it now, thanks. Think I'm going with the Quantum Interface and just need to find a not too pricey rack mixer. Will no doubt need to spend hours getting my head around the software and DAW side of things.

Re: Optimal small studio configuration and setup recommendations required.

I definitely need the flexible connectivity option. I don't anticipate having to record several channels at once any time soon but I don't see why I would need another mixer if I already have one within Mixcraft?

Re: Optimal small studio configuration and setup recommendations required.

i'm new to this and am trying to follow along so please patient with my response as i am learning. Can't an interface with more xlr inputs be more useful and then just go into DAW. no mixer needed. Again i'm in learning faze.... XLR are mainly for mics? In my case I am aiming for max connectivity b...

Re: Optimal small studio configuration and setup recommendations required.

Thanks for that. Where would the DAW sit in that connection chain? [/quote] It hooks up to your computer through a USB port just like a regular audio interface hooks to your DAW. In Mixcraft I see channels 1 through 16 as inputs when selected. Channel 17 and 18 are the stereo outs from the master t...

Re: Optimal small studio configuration and setup recommendations required.

Do I just get a mixer and connect to the Studio Monitors or can everything just be fed through the PC? I want to be able to record from the Montage via MIDI but also record directly from it within the DAW but as I mentioned also use it as a standalone synth. I don't want to be swapping cables, swit...

Optimal small studio configuration and setup recommendations required.

Hi This topic has probably been covered before but I'm guessing I'd probably benefit from recent tech and advancements etc. Basically I want to update/upgrade my home studio setup to have the best workflow and audio possible. I don't have a dedicated room so am using existing living space i.e. part ...

Re: computer for just running mixcraft 9

then on the other hand, my highly dated computer (see spec in my signature) easily handles my largest project to date. 68 tracks (none frozen), most with FX and automation. Also a technophobe, so the Techy Gods must be with me  That's pretty good going Trev. 8) Were they mainly audio track...

Re: computer for just running mixcraft 9

Talk about coincidence! I just sent an enquiry about the very same thing today to an IT specialist about building me a bespoke PC specifically just for music production. My current setup does the job but I want to future-proof as far as is possible in the PC game and upgrade a little. It all depends...

Re: Oswaldo Von Schnoobenstein and Mixcraft 9.

Nice! More up-tempo than usual. Is the lead patch from the Montage or DeepMind? I'm thinking I may have to treat myself to the Montage 7 in white.

Also waiting for Minions of Mirth pt. II? :)

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Some suggestions for v.10 please: 1. The ability to edit the clip titles directly in the Main Clip Grid. Even though you can edit the titles in the Track List, once you've recorded in that track, you can't change the titles in the Main Clip Grid, which can be annoying at times....or at least when yo...

Song #12 - StormFront

Primarily based on EastWest, Roland and BBC Orchestral libraries, this one was a real challenge to put together. I may come back to it at a later date but I will persevere in my quest to replicate as many musical styles as I can. Anyway, here it is... https://soundcloud.com/user-162916983/stormfront

Working on one song in separate MX9 projects.

I'm currently working on a song which is based heavily on the EastWest Orchestral libraries. They recently updated them making the sample files even more bigger and I think my PC is now beginning to buckle under the weight with some playback issues. I'm thinking I'm going to have to split into two s...

Re: Sorry - 32 bit plugin problems

If they are .dll files, you can usually just copy the files straight to your VST folder in the Program Files (x86) directory. Others you have to do a full install from a .exe application file.

Could that be part of your problem?
