Recovering Audio Files
I've been transferring or building songs that I created in Cakewalk. I've been dragging the midi and audio clips over to Mixcraft with no problem. Each new project has been saved. However, upon reopening the projects the midi data/clips load up, but it looks like the audio clips can not be found. Mi...

Re: Petty Peve About DAWs Interface
I guess the only thing I'd question is why do other DAWs not have this issue? I've never experienced a plugin of any type being taken over in Cakewalk. If you hit the space bar it start/stops the transport no matter what. In my mind it seems like it would be something that could be programmed in Mix...

Re: Recording the same Komplete Kontrol instrument on several tracks.
I can not confirm using komplete, but I can tell you if it was in Kontakt, you would be able to open up multiple instances of the plucked acoustic and assign them to different channels.

Re: BUG: Dragging midi clips from another DAW
Hi, Some MIDI files can contain more than one track, and some MIDI files are just one track. I suppose for this MIDI file, just drag it in and then move the clips where you want them. Greg Hi Greg, That's exactly what I am doing. Just dragging a midi file/track/clip, whatever the name should be, to...

Re: BUG: Dragging midi clips from another DAW
Greg, Can you elaborate a bit more on your suggestion. I can tell you a bit more on what I am doing. Using Omnisphere which has 8 outputs: I have set up 8 lanes in Mixcraft corresponding to the midi outputs in Omnisphere. I am basically dragging the midi clips that I created in Cakewalk to Mixcraft....

BUG: Dragging midi clips from another DAW
I think there may be a bug that needs addressing.
When you drag a midi clip from another DAW into Mixcraft using a VST that has several lanes, it always drags it to the first lane. Even if I drag the clip to the third or fourth lane it always places it in the first.

Re: Changing transport to time
Hi, here's not a great way, but a work around to give you both pieces of information: Click the [Time] button at the top. Create a virtual instrument track. Add a clip (can be empty) that is the length of your piece. In the detail window, if you select this "measure track" the clip will be in Beat/...

Changing transport to time
Is there a way to change the transport to display the time instead of beats/measures, but keep the track view in measures? I think having at least the option would be very helpful. As well as the opposite.

Re: Mixcraft Meter Reading
I'm not sure if you are wrong or right, but I've said in the past, I feel the metering needs some work. Mostly in the response of the meters. I almost think the decay time could be slowed down so the meter falls more gradual? Totally different topic, I know...

Re: Mixer not filling monitor
Hi, Okay, thanks for trying. Upcoming versions of Mixcraft should handle hi res monitors better. Greg For now...I have a workaround. I decreased the resolution in NVidia graphics card from the 3440x1440 to 2560x1080. Seems to play nice with the other monitors and the size looks more appropriate. So...

Re: Mixer not filling monitor
No. It did not. Chrome looks fine or Microsoft Edge or Windows Explorer is good. In fact you can see it(Explorer) change to the 125% after you drag it to the higher res monitor.Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 4:54 pmHi,
Did changing the setting in Display preferences have any effect?

Re: Mixer not filling monitor
Yup. Probably not going to be changed in Mixcraft 9. Ok. That's kind of good news...I mean at least I can stop looking for the issue with my graphics card or Windows10. Hopefully it will get resolved in MC10! I literally just upgraded my "mixing console" monitor and graphics card to use with Mixcra...

Re: Mixer not filling monitor
So is it something that would have to be addressed in Mixcraft, eventually?Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:39 amHi,
Yeah, it doesn't work ideally if you have different resolutions on multiple monitors. You can play around with the option in Display preferences for this. Restart Mixcraft after you change the option.

Thank you!Rolling Estonian wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 1:09 pmYou can organize them how you want but the vst that have their own programs, like Waves, I wouldn't mess with their path. You'd have to redirect MC to scan the folders that you created, of course.
