Re: Change key (change notes)? Possible?

Hi, Check it out here: https://codefn42.com/notemapper/ It might take a minute to understand. There's a manual that comes with it. The basic premise is, for each MIDI note that listed on the left, you can map it to do something else: play a different note, send a CC, change velocity - whatever. For...

Re: Sustain Pedal Issue with mixdown/saving

Yes I had that problem too. I got around it my mixing the track down to an audio track (during which the sustain pedal stays on when it should).

Re: Change key (change notes)? Possible?

Hi, You can use something like notemapper to intercept specific MIDI notes (all of them if you want) and output a different value. This would have to be recorded onto another track in order for the MIDI value to be actually recorded at the new pitch on the piano roll. There's a scale feature that w...

Re: Modulation -- tutorial? Tips?

Thanks Greg. Everything you wrote is clear. FYI I am manually changing it. But what exactly is modulation in this case? Does it vary according to the instrument? What's wild is that on the imported midi that I'm using, the modulation changes are bending the notes -- even on the Mixcraft piano it's b...

Re: Change key (change notes)? Possible?

Not sure if this is what you mean... If you select a midi clip and open the sound tab, you can select 'Transpose' and then raise or lower in semi-tones or key, and the notes will all follow. Thanks Trev. That's correct, but just shifting the notes manually won't keep in the right key, if you know w...

Change key (change notes)? Possible?

Season's greetings. I want to know if it possible to automatically change the key AND SO automatically change the notes of a passage. (I know it's possible to fiddle with the key, and it changes the notes, but it DOESN'T seem to change what the notes read as on the piano/score viewer). I know it's l...

Modulation -- tutorial? Tips?

Season's greetings. I recently downloaded a midi and it has some interesting effects using the modulation parameter (and others). It seems to achieve some of the results I have been looking for -- glissando, etc.See image attached. But I still don't know exactly what's happening. Is there a good tut...

Re: Melodyne - manipulate question

Thx cactus. Guess what? Today Melodyne is showing colored, manipulable notes even in polyphonic mode. Go figure. Maybe restarting my computer did something.
I have Mixcraft 9 pro studio which seems to have Melodyne essentials.

Re: Melodyne - manipulate question

To concur: Melodyne works on individual clips one at a time or whole tracks if it is one giant clip The grey area is the note Melodyne thinks is most likely the correct or intended pitch. The colored area is the actual note in the clip and how far off of the grey the true pitch is. You will not be ...

I get that. Here is the issue:

Re: Melodyne - manipulate question

Thanks for the answers. I tried splitting the track into small pieces, and doing the Melodyne procedure on each piece, but it's still the same -- gray color that I cannot adjust anything, or delete a note.

Melodyne - manipulate question

Sometimes when I see the track in Melodyne, it is in color and I can move the notes around etc. But at other times it is gray and I cannot manipulate anything. Why? (Mixcraft 9 pro. Buying 10 soon...)

why? lining up measures with tracks

Can anyone tell me what is happening here and how to fix it? On the measures you can see the indicator point directly at the start of the seventh measure. On the piano lines below you can see that same indicator is not at the start of the measure. I can't figure out how to fix this. I've tried copyi...

Re: Glass Viper help

THANK YOU Maybe I don't understand what you're trying to do but here is a quick example of changing the frequency to alter the pulsing. Of course you'd have to delve into other controls to get it how you want it. I would think you could eliminate the pulsing due to the undulating waveforms and use a...

Re: Glass Viper help

Thanks but nothing's working. It's a bit ironic since GV is designed to be easier to understand, but since I know analog synths, it would be easier for me to figure out if it had basic analog simulation. Like, what sources/waveforms etc. are interacting/influencing the other ones. It's strange that ...
