You have the choice to compress the audio coming going in by installing the compressor on the channel before you record or you can compress the audio after you record it raw, or a combination of both methods.

Out of curiousity, I tried selecting all 4 tracks in my submix and then right clicking "mix to audio track". What I got was 4 individually mixed tracks. So, the option to solo the submix and then bounce down seems to be the only one at the moment. But I see what you mean about being able ...

The first thing I would try is to see if an issue with project file. I would open a new empty project, try to record and see what happens.

If a file has dead space at the end, I have seen the online Loudness Penalty file app differ from a real time LUFS meter but that would give the opposite result.

I usually use Audacity to insert around 200mS of silence at the beginning of a track to let players flush their buffers out. Also, around 1/2 Second at the end helps player scanners find the next song. Good just to take a look at the waveform for clipping/over compression.

Thanks for Ideas Greg. Not verified, but I believe I corrupted an audio clip using Melodyne before mixing a shortened clip to a new clip. Also had FX on the channel. In any event, removal of that track and project renders.

It would be fine if the app is just displaying the useful major inflection points and isn't actually discarding CC data.

I use "takes" mode a lot. They mute and just hang out in a lane, easy to delete later. I might play a solo a dozen times and pick the best take.....or the best sections from all the takes and merge them. Sometimes, I may end up with a multi-line solo by using different takes simultaneously...

I was having the same issue with MC10 finding Waves Abbey Road mastering chain and their OVOX voice processor. Deleting the database files and rebuilding them was a fix in my case. I added the C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves to my path list.
