Re: How to work with Behringer umc1820 and Mixcraft?

I did select the UMC ASIO, but it doesn't show any inputs.

Re: How to work with Behringer umc1820 and Mixcraft?

These are the same drivers I downloaded before. I did it again just to be safe.
One picture will show that the driver is there. The other picture will show the number of inputs, or lack there of.

Re: How to work with Behringer umc1820 and Mixcraft?

I have the USB plugged into both the interface and computer. I shows that I have UMC Asio drivers but they don't show up on the list.

I tried to post a screenshot, but I don't know if it worked. The list is blank.

How to work with Behringer umc1820 and Mixcraft?

I finally downloaded the software for my Behringer umc1820, But I can't figure out how to make it work. I go to "Preferences" in Mixcraft, but it doesn't give me eight options for input. I thought drivers just worked in the background. This acts like it wants me to do something else. Can s...

Re: Record multiple inputs on separate tracks?

Thanks Sturdy. But I'm going to need 8 tracks. I'll check out Personous. Everything I've seen so far is $400 -$500. I run a Behringer U-Phoria 1820 and it works well. I've recorded live drums in various configurations and have been pleased. Software gets updated every so often so no issues there. I...

Re: Record multiple inputs on separate tracks?

Just curious how this worked out for you. Jason To be honest, when we decided to sell our townhouse everything was put on hold. Now I'm looking at the Berringer Euphoria. A new one is in my price range. I've seen people buying things secondhand and complaints about the software not working or they c...

Re: Technical question on audio interface

Thanks for the advise. I think I got what I needed. It's my drum kit that stays in my music room with acoustic wall treatments. I play a mix of acoustic and electronics so I have 7 mics and 1 line from the sample pad. A few years ago I was tossing around whether to go MIDI or stay acoustic. Long sto...

Re: Technical question on audio interface

Hi, Lets say you have an audio interface that connects to the computer via usb. The audio interface says it has 8 channels out; adat per se. There's also an optical in on the interface. If there aren't 8 physical inputs on your interface (mic inputs i'm assuming for drums), then you'll need an 8 in...

Technical question on audio interface

This may be the wrong place to ask this question. But here it goes. I need to record 8 tracks/busses(?) at once. IE: a set of drums. I see lots of multi-input interfaces. None of them actually say in plain english, "You can record up to 8 busses at once into your DAW". What are the technic...

Cool. If you do, make sure you go to Presonus support and download the latest drivers.
Yeah, I learned my lesson on drivers. But a reminder never hurts.

Re: Record multiple inputs on separate tracks?

Thanks guys. I wondered what those other inputs were for. I'll have to print this because I know I won't remember this 10 minutes from now. Plus, the music room in on a different computer. What are some of the multi-track interfaces that are AFFORDABLE? I'm a drummer and this has been a concern of m...

Record multiple inputs on separate tracks?

I must be missing something. I just watched a video with Cameron mixing down a session. There were multiple drum tracks. (snare, toms, kick, etc) How were the drums recorded? As far as I'm aware, I can only record one input at a time.
