There are,"No" issues with resources using USB devices nowadays with correctly installed and well written drivers. For my home recording needs I woul...

As with all these packages they usually contain samples of famous synths and there's too many for me to remember off hand. However ALL the sounds are fully editible as the ProteusX software includes A great interace for editing the sounds even with the Software installed as a VST and,"On-The-Fly". It...

When you recorded the track you should have armed it for stereo. The tracks single tracks can record in stereo and this is required if you want to pan.

I use an E-Mu Xboard 25 USB keyboard, http://tinyurl.com/6cb9tv It fits perfectly on my PC under shelf and has loads of features. The bundled ProteusX software VST pack that comes with it is worth probably 5 times more than the keyboard as the all the samples(Drums/Synths/Brass etc) of the highestest...

When you,"Armed" the track for recording did you choose Mono or Stereo left Stereo Right or Full stereo?

You may have just recorded the vocal on one side of the stereo track as each track in Mixcraft can record stereo tracks.
