Hope its not too late... I use Mixcraft and Sonar on a regular basis. I predominently use Mixcraft to record songs that are less involved and feature less tracks. Mainly due to MC not being able to handle multi VST outputs, which I know is being worked on for Version 6. However one improvement I wou...

I think there are a couple more things that could be added that wouldn't change things much. To record just hit "R" instead of "cntrl R". easier for us guitar players, not fumbling with the pick in one hand while trying to get our other back around the neck. When you hit stop(spc...

Well I wish I had a good answer for you, but in fact I am looking for a timing issue myself. Only I have about 5 tracks going, all wave files. My issue is when it comes to mixing down to mp3. after about a couple minutes in, the tracks start losing their timing. Yet within mixcraft they are still in...

Sound on Sound

Is there a way to turn the sound on sound recording off, so you are always recording a fresh copy? rather than recording another copy over what you have already done.

this would totally compliment the new vdieo feature and allow for some scoring to be done......with minimizing the CPU usage....

Greg, Is there a spot in the manual that tells exactly how to put a VSTi onto a send track. I do see that you can send 1-127cc assignments. But I can not see how you do this. Esentially with Omnisphere you need to have 8 midi tracks to correspond with the 8 channels available through one instance of...

hi Greg, i am not looking to add an effect. What i am looking to do is open one instance of Omnisphere, for this example, yet it applies to most all of East West vsti's as well, then load different patches of sounds within the vst to the 8 individual channels. Mixcraft = Omnisphere Track 1 = Midi ch...

v5 and any multi port VST

is mixcraft v5 still limited to loading one vst midi channel per track? Example: Omnisphere has 8 channels per instance. Is there a way to link different tracks to this one instance of said VST? So you can take advantage of multiple sounds with the one instance.... Hope this makes sense..... Thanks.

midi channels

I may have asked before, I don't remember, I am using a EW vsti that has multiple channels(8) that I can load 8 different sounds into. With Sonar you can set each channel to a seperate track, so you need only one instance open at one time. How do you do this in Mixcraft so I don't have to open 8 dif...

Those are great suggestions. I am fortunate enough to have a decent size system just for recording, however I am totally on board with doing what you have recommended. I like the idea of creating the wav files then mastering them after the mix. Off the topic, do you have any experience working with ...
