Re: New user - first impressions
Oh, thanks for that - that's positively weird! Oh, and sorry that you had to go through the trouble
(exactly what I was thinking immediately when reading your post - "but now's he's got to manually re-add them just because of me")

Re: New user - first impressions
Hi, It’s not hard-coded to search that particular folder, but it may be searching your computer’s default VST2 folder. Sending in your log files should help to clarify the situation. Greg Yes, I just checked and it's pulling them from the registry instead (I just deleted the entry for the non-exist...

Re: New user - first impressions
Hi, What are a few examples of plugins you're concerned about? Please go into Mixcraft 10's general preferences, zip up your log files, and send in a support ticket with the log files attached. Greg
I'm not concearned about any plugins - I just want Mixcraft to not scan C:\Program Fi...

Re: New user - first impressions
Greg, Is the search recursive? Jens, Are your unwanted VSTs in subfolders where the parent folder is in the list? No, it's my complete standard 64bit folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\VstPlugins) - I just realized that Mixcraft also added a non-existing 32bit path that slightly differs from mine (i.e. ...

Re: Melodyne Studio Multi Tracks
Hi, We added DPI awareness (and thousands of pieces of scalable new art) to Mixcraft 10 so that it can scale up or down smoothly. The problem is that some plugins don't scale properly, and that includes Melodyne. People who have Windows itself scaled at 100% wouldn't notice this problem, but people...

Re: Melodyne Studio Multi Tracks
Woah - it does indeed! I'd never have thought that this could be a pixel-density related issue.
Thank you very much!

Re: New user - first impressions
Go into Plug-Ins preferences, click Edit VST/VST3 Folders, and remove the pathnames you want to ignore. That's what I did, but as I said: whenever I do so Mixcraft is putting them back in - and again: I never even told Mixcraft to scan these folders (or to even just look for them to begin with) in ...

Re: iZotope RX11 Standard
Hi, Does anybody else have the subject program? I tried to run the Spectral Editor in Mixcraft and got the message: Spectral Editor ARA is not available for this host." Is that a Mixcraft limitation or an RX limitation? Or a me limitation? The way I understand it, it's basically a RX-limitatio...

Re: Melodyne Studio Multi Tracks
I don't quite now yet... it's super-weird. At first I thought all the content was gone inside Melodyne, but that's not the case. And the problem already exists when it's docked - it's just more pronounced when undocked. I can't scroll down towards a certain point. So for lower-frequency material, I ...

Re: Melodyne Studio Multi Tracks
Hi, Mixcraft 10.5 already supports ARA 2, but we don't support the multi-track option in Melodyne, because that would require some major reworking of Mixcraft it self to support this one plugin. That said, who knows what the future might bring. Greg Ah, good to know... but why can't I maximize it w...

Re: Melodyne Studio Multi Tracks
OK, thinking it it all makes sense. The deal is ARA-2 then? (if what I am reading out there is understood). Once the MX team gets that going for melodyne we will be set. Meanwhile, workaround. I was about to say that this functionality already exists in Mixcraft (as I was pretty sure it supports AR...

Re: New user - first impressions
Hi, The VSTs included with Mixcraft that are stored in the Mixcraft VST directory will always load as part of the program. I didn't refer to these - I can of course easily remove them if need be... 3rd party VSTs can be ignored by unchecking "Load 3rd party VST plugins" under preferences ...

Re: Melodyne Studio Multi Tracks
Cant disagree Jens, however after using the multitrack, being able to have all the tracks on one screen outweighed the time it took to transfer the tracks. Yes, I would agree with that as it this feature is a godsend - but you can actually have that with ARA too, so no functionality is lost due to ...

Re: New user - first impressions
Hello, There is no comping feature - in that there aren't specific workflows designed for composite vocal line creation. There are lanes and takes but you have to manually manage the clips to splice them together. You can punch in and out too. You cannot hide lanes. There is auto mute: If the recor...
