Re: Acoustica studio drums to Jamstix 4

Hi,

If you've just got velocity commands in the MIDI clip when this happens, then it's not CC, unless the velocity on setting is super low.

Re: Acoustica studio drums to Jamstix 4

Hi,

Make sure you're updated to Mixcraft 9.0 build 469, and see if there are any updates for Jamstix.

You can also check and see if there are any unwanted CC messages on the MIDI clip:

Re: Melodyne

Hi,

Yes. Go into Windows Apps settings and uninstall the two Melodyne items. The Melodyne installer runs after the Mixcraft installer, so you can also just choose not to install it in the first place.

Highlight the intro section in the timeline, right click and select 'remove selected time'
This is the correct answer, and as a side note, you can also copy and paste automation.

Re: Export midi with time change and bpm

Hi,

Yes, that's the way it's designed to work. So, the time signature information is being stored in the MIDI file, and it's up to the other program to load it properly. The other program may have a setting that can be changed or a different way to load the MIDI files.

Hi,

Did you open it by clicking on the File menu and selecting Open Project?

Re: Export midi with time change and bpm

Hi, If you load the MIDI file back into Mixcraft, do you see the time signature changes? Use Open Project on the File menu. If so, the time signature changes are there, and the other program isn't detecting them. They should check and see if there's a setting they can change or some other technique ...

Re: OK....Mixing Selected Track

Hi, Besides selecting multiple clips and selecting Merge (or pressing Ctrl+W), you can also right-click to the left of a track and select Mix to New Audio Track to "bounce" the entire track. There are several ways to time stretch - one quick way is to hold down the Ctrl key and drag the end of the c...

Re: Why Core Audio allows higher quality than interface specs

Hi, It's not Mixcraft doing that, it's Windows Core Audio. I don't know the details of what Windows does when you choose a higher sample rate than the hardware allows. I guess it resamples? You don't want to choose a higher sample rate, because you'll just get a larger file with no gain in audio qua...

Hi,

There's no way to copy all the effects.
You could save the chain then import it after pasting the track into the new project.
Oh, great idea!

Re: Files cant be saved

I just noticed this within the last few days. When I try to save a project file it gives me this error.. 02:19:28 [561 mils] : Save Failed - Mixcraft failed to save the project: E:\Acoustica Mixcraft 9\Mixcraft Projects\110110.mx9 The file may currently be in use by another application, or you may ...

Saving to a drive other than the boot drive usually causes problems.

M
I wouldn't say "usually." It can be a problem if an external drive changes drive letters, for example.

Re: Copying Tracks Across Projects

Hi, There's no way to copy all the effects. You can select the clips, copy them, then open the other project in the same instance of Mixcraft, and paste. You could save a project as a template, and then the template would have all the effects (without the clips), but that's mostly useful when you're...
