Re: Advice wanted on Monitor (Visual)
So, I'm looking at 27" 1080p IPS monitor. Does anybody use something like that and can comment on readability of small text, icons etc?
Thanks
Thanks

Advice wanted on Monitor (Visual)
I was using a 23" TV as a monitor. It was fine for most things but I decided I needed something bigger. So, I bought a 32" TV. It's a LED HD screen with 1366X786 resolution. It works great as a TV but as a monitor it's not very good at all. Text especially is not at all clear and likewise any small ...

Re: Transfer Settings to New PC
Thanks Greg. I think I'll have a lot more trouble locating and re-registering my VST's. I'm not looking forward to this at all!

Transfer Settings to New PC
I've treated myself to a new PC. It should arrive in a few days. I've spent quite a bit of time over the years setting up MIxcraft how I like it and can't remember exactly what I've done or how I did it in some cases. Are there "configuration" or "settings" files that hold this sort of info. If so w...

Need Help With Drum Samples/Loops
I've recently started using MIDI instruments. It's lots of fun and so powerful. Anyway, I'm having problems with drums. I've never played drums (or percussion) and find that I can't think like a drummer so it's really hard to build musically sympathetic drum track for whatever I'm working on. The ob...

New PC in the UK
I've finally decided to buy a new PC to replace my ailing 5 year old system. For all sorts or reasons I've decided to buy an off the shelf offering. I've looked at systems from Scan and Quiet PC. Has anybody got experience of these or any other suppliers that might be worth a look? I'm assuming ther...

Re: What are your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?
I only really have 2 : 1. Bring the score editor up to scratch or add MusicXML import I'm a lousy keyboard player but I can write standard notation. MC's own offering is inadequate. The standard workaround is to write in a score editor, export to MIDI then import the MIDI into MC. This has many shor...

Re: NEW PC TIME!
I don't mean to hijack this thread but I'm in the market for a new PC and I had a look at mydigitaltech's stuff. I notice that hey have several Xeon based PC's. My knowledge is very patchy when it comes to processors but aren't Xeon's used for their superior multi-threading abilities compared to i7?...

I've been invited to join "The Music Tribe Community". Does anybody know anything about this. Looks like it might just be a marketing tool but on the other hand it might be worth a look. I'm not sure

Re: Static problems, question about what to purchase to fix it...
I had a similar problem a few years ago and it turned out to be conflict with my video card causing frequent, momentary dropouts that sounded like static. Could you try a test recording via your onboard soundcard to make sure it's definitely the interface? Mind you, if you definitely want a new one ...

Re: Needing a new interface
OK "rubbish" might be a bit strong but more than one person is saying they have bad drivers and latency problems and that struck me as odd if these same devices were being unconditionally recommended when they were current. How could AI's with bad drivers and poor latency performance ever have been ...
