Then, we'll just need the ability to switch between those presets with some kind of foot controller and I'll have pretty much everything I ever wanted :-) (any chance of that happening? Will this be possible?).

Boosting Volume of Alesis Control Pad

Just got an Alesis Control Pad. It works great with Alesis' own kits and those in Mixcraft, however the volume is too low. I go to edit in Mixcraft and up the Control Pad volume to 200% (this seems to be the maximum). I also push the slider way over when recording. Its just loud enough to practice o...

EZ Drummer Sound Files

I have installed EZ Drummer Lite. It shows up in Mixcraft, but when I click 'Edit' it says EZ Drummer cannot find the sound files, please relocate, but it doesn't tell me where to.

So, where to?

Alesis Control Pad with FXPansions BFD Lite

I'm thinking about buying one of these; http://www.long-mcquade.com/products/2595/Keyboards/MIDI_Controllers_Drum_Machines/Alesis/Control_Pad.htm I am assuming it would work in Mixcraft. It comes with " FXPansions BFD Lite, a professional drum module with high quality sound libraries that featu...

Thanks Mattox

That looks great, but it seems to be a VST only. Where are the pads that I actually tap? Or does the $49 get you the pad too? I can't see any reference to a physical tap pad.

I don't want to be tapping my keyboard.

Tap Pads

I would like some drum software that I can tap into and save. I am starting from a low base here and know nothing about drum machines, but I do keep seeing these funny rectangular things with little pads on them, so am quite curious. I have Beatcraft, which is fine, but I know I could do a much bett...

Need Click Track for Performance

I play the guitar and use Mixcraft quite a lot. I'm trying to figure out how to use it live. I want to create a backing track to feed to a PA/speaker, but would also need a click track in my ear, so I can keep time. Could I hard right the backtrack and hard left the click track and then split them u...

Instruments sound very tight. Very nice. I don't like the vocals, but that is just my taste, however, I do find the vocal level fluctuates a bit.

Snare sounds a bit artificial.

Overall I think its a pretty good job. Nicely done.

I have the US-144MKII, which i think is pretty much the same.

I think I just plugged it into the USB then on Mixcraft went to File - Preferences - Sound Devices and then selected the 144 in the input, output ans ASIO drop down boxes.

It worked for me. Hope that helps.

I don't want to give you false info, but I think this has to do with Kapersky being'overly cautious' if that is the right expression. There is no trojan. I seem to remember this coming up in a thread a few months ago. I have been downloading Mixcraft using Nortons and AVG and have never had them pic...

I agree, just download it and keep the codes in your email account. They seem to update it about once a month, so you'll have to do a download eventually.

Yer know, that's actually not a bad idea. When I think about it, I only use two screen positions, full zoom in and fit to screen. Why would someone need anything in between?

I have a Shure SM57. It's great for guitar and vocals (it actually sounds like the noise that comes out of my head, which is a first for me).

Watch some videos on Youtube about where to postion a mic in front of an amp too. It makes a lot of difference.

If you plugged it into the line in you need to select line in, not mic.
