Umm... Why would you want latency? That's like saying "I bought a brand new car, everything works and it runs fine. How come it hasn't broke down yet?". I guess the obvious answer is: your computer is up to date, your soundcard has the correct drivers, and everything is configured properly.

Also... did you say "speakers"? As in, external speakers (aka not headphones). Don't record like that... bad idea. There's the source of some of your delay/weird-sound problems right there. Your mic is picking up your speakers. If you can hear it, so can your mic. Use headphones.

If it was me... I wouldn't record vocals while useing any plug-in or effect. Just do it dry. Then, add your effects after. That's a good rule of thumb for many reasons. Also, if you're still having trouble with latency... cut the preview off. For monitoring vocals, try leaving one side of your headp...

This probably won't work for all styles... But here's what I do on the road: I'm using a Behringer V-Amp (kinda like a Line-6 Pod), but you should be able to do the same thing by tweaking the amp effects pre-sets in Mixcraft. Anyway... I use the neck pickup on my guitar. Then I find a good dark soun...

Since he had not answered back since October of 2006, i assumed the issue was resolved for him. Mon1018, are you experiencing something similar? Yeah, time flys. The problem with that old computer... Something I did messed with the computer and caused it to overheat. Maybe a fan setting. Can't reme...

Hey Loop Heads! I'm looking for a Ramones beat.

I only really require one or two beats and a couple variations. I'm looking for that Ramones beat. You know, with the driving tight hi-hat (8th notes I believe?) in 4/4 time. I'd also like a loop where it switches (same beat) to the ride for a chorus. And one where the 8ths are on the floor tom. Nat...

Hmmm... after much digging... I found the heavily burried lightsnake product page. What's interesting is, the poster mentioning a simular problem uses MC4 too. But that may be just a weird coincidence.

Not much help... but here: http://forums.soundtech.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1224

I need help getting my Mixcraft back

Hi guys... I've been away for a while, now I'm back ready to make some tunes. I bought the Mixcraft Musicians Bundle back in March of 2005. I love it love it love it. I've even talked some of my friends in to buying it for their computers. I can't remember, but I think I even paid some nominal fee f...

Thanks Greg.. I'll try it dry with a 58 and see where that takes me.

I initially went for the large condenser because I thought it would be better.

I am looking to take care of the "ess" sounds the letter "S" makes in speech. I use to have a compressor/limiter that had some "de-esser" setting, but that gear is long gone. I am useing a condensor mic through a presonus tube-pre and in to my computer. I'm not having a...

ALSO.... (sorry about this)

We play for about an hour. Is this going to be too much (too long) for Mixcraft & my computer to handle?

Maybe I'm taking the wrong approach.
