Re: Heads up for video rendering anomaly.
I have used mixcraft 6 videos and like some of its capabilities, but when I render to WMV it very slow, compared to my old moviemaker. Is mixcraft 7 faster on this? I also did not like the new video affects in MX7 using automation method vs just defining transitions to various video clips-that is lo...

Re: Mixcraft 5: separating tracks on commercial mp3
There is a web site in France (there is always a web site) that for 3 bucks, you can get about any popular song, that is of quite good quality, and mix it however you want and then use it in MIXcraft as backing. I have re-recorded a number of songs that way and it is cheap and easy. I use it mostly ...

exclusive mode during record
Probably too late for MX6, but I have found that I really need to use exclusive mode during recording as it moves latency from about 20mS to 5mS. But then I everytime I mix down or use some other audio program with Mixcraft open, its locked out till I manually change the option back, and then I forg...

MX6 Multiple outputs
I think I read upcoming MX6 will allow more than just a stereo mix output. Would the new Alesis IO4 allow me to have a two separate stereo mixes (4 channels) from Mixcraft, such as one for house and one for in-ear monitoring? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004NMVUV4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&...

I copied the project to my laptop. Same result. A useless 5Kb OGG file is produced. I can workaround this on my laptop as its sound card lets me arm the playback and record it-its just a lot slower. My desktop sound card doesn't allow that and its a much faster computer. But is sure seems like a MX ...

I setup a separate folder for every MX project I create to ensure I know where files are. I see the file after mixdown (but mixdown is done almost instantly as its a small file-but no errors are given) and file is in the correct project folder location. This project has 4 instrument tracks, each usi...

Virtual Track mixdown
When I solo one or more Virual instrument tracks and try mix it down to a OGG or WAV or MP3 file, a small file (about 5Kb) is created and its not a valid file can't be loaded backinto mixcraft. I can hear the track in Mixcraft fine when I play it. If I solo an audio track and do exactly the same mix...

I had came across that and uninstalled my logitech webcam and deleted the upper filter in REGEDIT (no lower filter displayed). But it did not change anything. The device still gets recognized just fine when I plug it in, and I can arm Mixcraft track to the MIDI source, but nothing. I know its not a ...

MIDI keyboard stops working
I have USB Keyrig 49 has worked fine for some time on Win 7 PC. I needed to use it on a different PC and it worked fine there. I brought it back to main PC with win7, the keyboard says it recognized by windows and mixcraft 5 current build etc-but not MIDI being received when armed and no sound. I am...

Thanks, adding one does seem to affect the options being grayed. The project already showed a marker just like it at the start of the track. So I changed the options and deleted the marker after changing the options. Very confusing.(not your advice), just why does it work like that..I have mixed hun...

Mixdown options grayed out
When I mixdown to MP3, normally I want to use the file/tag information. But both boxes for "Create a new file.." and "Use Market Titles..." are both checked and grayed out. This causes the final MP3 to have incorrect tags as I can't uncheck them when they are grayed out. I don't ...

Yes, it had about 4 removeable drives on front of computer, once unhidden I could remap them and recover my original drive letter. I also use some custom images of my instruments to keep track of things. On my new PC, existing gprojects show them as default image. On my old PC, they show a file name...

project drive unavailabe in WIN 7
I got a new WIN 7 PC and trying to move all the stuff to it. I have allways carefully created separate project folders for all projects and and sound files were all on a separate HD (set to Drive F:). Now in WIN7 I try map a folder to same drive letter, but F is not available and no drives are attac...

While Mixcraft works fine with it and it has good performance, I did not like it because it did not have a mono/stereo switch on the monitor mix. So I went with an Alesis IO2 hich does have stereo switch to use as a portable interface. It also has INSERT. Any of these will work with an MFX guitar pr...

Your recording capability will depend on which multmix unit you have-the basic USB 8 channel. or the USB 2.0 8 channel. The basic only lets you bring in main mix stereo channel at a time. The better one can record all eight channels separately if your PC is up to the task. 1st - Follow the basic Ale...
