If by sound fading, you mean volume fading, you could move the volume graph on the sound panel to compensate. From my experience, sometimes magnetic interference or poor quality cables could effect the sound quality. Monster Cables theoretically make a difference, as I believe they are better shielded and have higher quality connectors, but the sound quality itself prob. wouldn't improve unless interference...
