Re: Latency with MC9 and Tascam US16x08

Make sure you've downloaded/installed the latest drivers for your interface from Tascam. After the install, reboot your system.

Then follow this video guide for setting up in Mixcraft:

Re: Support/Fix for Mixcraft 8 build 418?

.... my current buffer size is already 512 and it still crackles with a cpu workload in mixcraft between 0% and 5%. (hardware: 4,4ghz quad core, 32gb ram, win10 on ssd hard disk drive, files on sata III drive, radeon rx 570 graphics with 8gb ram).... I know you're probably tired of troubleshooting,...

Re: POWER USAGE WINDOWS 10

If you haven't already, press CTL-ALT-DEL - click Task Manager - Startup tab. You will see a list of all tasks running at startup.

Disable every task you don't recognize (Be aggressive. None of these are system-critical, and can be easily re-enabled). Restart your system.

... I am using the old, 32-bit Classic plugins by Kjaerhus, which I like very much- they're usage reads Very Low, but I wanted to mention that. That could be it. The older the plugin, the more likely it can cause problems. Troubleshoot without those plugins. Or start a new project, or even one of t...

Re: Using my Roland AX-7 keytar as a midi controller

... Is is the case that since mixcraft doesn't recognize it, I can't use it as a midi controller, or am I not right on this? ... That's correct. Still troubleshooting... Since you're using the MIDI interface on the UR22mk2, make sure the ur22mk2 firmware/drivers are the latest from Steinberg's site...

Re: Using my Roland AX-7 keytar as a midi controller

Some things to look at: - Ensure you have the latest firmware/software/drivers for the keyboard installed. - Use AC power for the keytar. Especially important if you're on a laptop. - I'm assuming the UR22Mk2 and keytar are both connected to PC via USB-cable. If you are using USB3 (blue inner strip)...

Re: MC8 forcing me to use wrong tempo [solved]

Okay, I checked the speed of the loop again by metronome without dragging it into a DAW...

It checks out at 105 bpm!

But then after dragging it into either Mixcraft or Cakewalk, it play back at 120 bpm.

So yeah, looks like there's something odd with the clip.

Re: MC8 forcing me to use wrong tempo

Have you audibly checked the beats against a metronome? I did, and it comes out to about 118 bpm. Not perfect, but rounding up, that's 120.

Add to that two different DAWs say the clip is 120 bpm. I don't know what else to say... :?

Re: Norton Antivirus doesnt like MC6HS

For antivirus-related issues with Mixcraft you have a few options: - When using the DAW, disable the AV (or just the realtime-scanning function). - Switch to a different AV that doesn't interfere with your DAW. - Set up your DAW's application and audio folders in the AV's exclusion list (sometimes c...

Re: CASIO CT-670 as midi keyboard

Try disconnecting the Casio and using your QWERTY keyboard as the controller just to see what happens.

To enable the qwerty keyboard, click on View - Musical Typing, or press CTL+ALT+K (Explained on pg14 of MC9 manual).

Re: CASIO CT-670 as midi keyboard

If you are connecting from the keyboard's MIDI out, then drivers (for the CASIO) shouldn't come into play here, as it's only the MIDI spec your PC cares about. If you haven't tried a different USB port, do that. Avoid USB3 (blue inner strip) if USB2 is available (black inner strip). What MIDI/USB ca...

Have you followed the recommended DAW optimization tweaks regarding power/USB settings? Basically, you want to turn off all of the settings that Suspend or Go to sleep and change them to "Never".
