Re: Micraft 9 Studio vs Mixcraft 10 Pro

Not sure why... maybe some optimization was done in MC10 with how graphics are used?

Also, I noticed that your MC10 project is set at 96 kHz sample rate, while the MC9 project is at 48 kHz. May be relevant, may be not... Did you try using the same sample rate to see if it made any difference?

Re: Latency Issue - Mixcraft 10 (B587)

There were some effects added on the Master Track and they appear to be the problem. I'd put BB Tubes, Sonible SmartComp2, L3 Ultramaximiser and ADPTR Streamliner on the Master Track. The latency seemed to reduce each time I removed one. Only BB Tubes is left as it's hardly noticeable now? Why is i...

Re: Motu M2 issue

A few general suggestions: 1) If you have "Generic Low Latency Driver" installed, remove it. It's installed by Steinberg devices and has been known to cause issues. (No, you don't need it). 2) Plug your M2 into a different USB port. The M2 is a USB 2 device, and ideally should be plugged i...

Re: Is the Apollo Twin X USB interface compatible with Mixcraft 9?

It's extremely unlikely that the MOTU M2 (or any MOTU interface for that matter) is "incompatible" with Mixcraft or any DAW software that has been field-tested over years by thousands of users on various makes of interfaces. The simple fact is that the manufacturers can't possibly test the...

Re: Amp Farm: Faulty Plug-In

Try this (if you haven't already):

Reboot your system. Download the file again. Install it.

Check your iLok to make sure all your plugins are reporting normally.

Try using the amp farm plugin.

Or could be triplets in 4/4. If that's the case my metronome puts it around 102-104 bpm. (These are live acoustic players so are not playing to a click).

Yep, all of the legacy plugins are free from the support page now, including the VoicePitcher!
FYI... The v3 legacy track essentials plugins may work in MC because they're already bundled... but they show up as "DEMO" in other DAWs (which would indicate they're likely not free).

Re: windows error sound

If you don't need Windows sounds, disable them. Long shot that it will fix this issue, but they have been known to cause problems elsewhere. Other things to try: If you have to let your monitors hibernate, there are some freeware utilities that can manage monitor hibernation (instead of Windows). On...

Re: windows error sound

Sounds like your graphic drivers aren't waking up all the way. Try this next time after waking your monitors: Press Win+Ctrl+Shift+B (All four keys at the same time). The screens will flicker for a second. This restarts your graphic drivers. Now start Mixcraft and see what happens. If it solves the ...

Re: hard drive cloning

I agree with cactus-head -- that this may be a permissions issue. After the cloning, at the very least, the data should be there, even if it isn't currently accessible. It can't hurt to uninstall and re-install Mixcraft so that the application files get properly registered. Before you try that, thou...

Re: hard drive cloning

Cloning is not really recommended when moving from one machine to another. All the hardware will be different -- so as soon as you boot it up it has to reconfigure/seek out new drivers, etc.... So it's certainly not as straightforward as when you clone a drive that would remain in the same system or...
