The only thing that doesn't work in the VST to RTAS wrapper is that Pianissimo doesn't make any sound when you play the virtual keyboard with a mouse. The keys move but no sound is triggered. When you play it with a midi keyboard, you hear the sound and see the keys on the virtual keyboard move like...

You know, here I sit with three decent virtual pianos in Pro Tools: Alicia's Keys, the Garritan Steinway basic, and Pianissimo (with the Fxpansion VST to RTAS wrapper). As I play them for various people, the one that jumps out at everyone as sounding like a real piano is Pianissimo. There are things...

I just installed the Fxpansion VST to RTAS wrapper and can report that Pianissimo works perfectly with Pro Tools with it. Alicia's Keys sound extremely good (probably the best virtual piano yet) but taxes my little laptop too much to use it in a mix. Pianissimo sounds very good and is more practical...

Anyone using Pianissimo with Pro Tools via the Fxpansion VST to RTAS adapter? If so, how well does it work?

OK, it turns out that the problem is that neither Pianissimo nor Mixcraft will currently read midi files that have only 96 ppqn (parts per quarter note). Unfortunately this is the way that Propellerheads software exports it's midi files. When I load a Propellerheads midi file into Quicktime Pro and ...

Midi files exported from Propellerheads Record.
Here is a problem that I would love to see fixed even though I have a workaround: Pianissimo won't import midi files exported directly from Propellerheads Record. I can get around this by opening the midi file in quicktime then exporting it from quicktime. The midi file exported from Quicktime will ...

I have been looking at Beatcraft the past few days with the trial period. I'm not sure if you guys at Acoustica know how big an issue this is. If I do a drum part for a song and want to import it into my DAW software, it needs to be the right number of BPM. It is simply too hard to work with if the ...

OK, I tried it again with another piece and this time the rendered piano part did slow down a little at the end like it was supposed to. What is the deal with midi sequences and tempo changes? Here's the piece with a little slowdown of the piano at the end. I saved the piano part as a midi file, ren...

Pianissamo midi player and tempo change?
I was just checking out the Pianissimo demo and love the sound. Two things that I've noticed right off the bat though. 1/ The midi player doesn't support tempo changes. The piano part that I tried to import and then export as a wave no longer follows the tempo map it originally had. 2/ Some sort of ...

Is there a template for half width DVD case?
I just bought, registered and downloaded all the clip art for the Acoustica DVD labeling program. I was pretty happy until I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a template for half width DVDs. These are all I use these days since they ship so nicely. Is there a template or some way that I could ma...
