Re: Mixcraft Pro Studio 6 release
It's amazing how much overhead Aero created. my crappy Sempron laptop actually works with win 8, and mixcraft 6 plays nicely.

Re: Question about Mixcraft v2.
I use v2 on a daily basis at work. I would love to upgrade to 5 or 6 at work but can't because the new interface is too much for the staff to handle. It would be neat to skin 6 with a v2 look so all would be well in radio land.

...lots of light compression on individual tracks vs one effect set to 11. I've also noticed in my stuff that compared to professional mixes, I always have too much bottom end. Gotta remove low mid mud. And, mix it to what you think is good, walk away from it and come back tomorrow. Often what you t...

http://www.voxengo.com/product/curveeq/ Har-Bal is not a ÔÇ£curve-stealingÔÇØ program (like Steinberg's FreeFilter or Voxengo's Curve EQ) that impresses the spectrum of one song onto another, but allows displaying ÔÇ£reference curvesÔÇØ if you like a particular sound, and want to see how...

The SFz player will play raw wav files (at least the version I have does). Use that as a plugin and select your wav as the sample.

This is where you get into spectral analysis and trying for flat curves, or flat for the genre. Voxengo Curve EQ can copy the eq curve of a recording that's similar to yours and apply it to your recording with often times good effect. Here's an article: http://www.harmonycentral.com/docs/DOC-1140/ve...
