Re: Just Starting Out w/Mixcraft 8. Some Basic Questions

Thanks for the welcome and information guys. It is definitely helpful. Just some more background: I'm an old(er) dog trying to learn some new tricks. My son is the musically educated one in the family and in the school band. I am basically dabbling in electric bass and Karaoke (wanting to add recor...

Re: Pro studio 7

If you find your registration email there will be a link in that to download the install files.

If you no longer your email you can request a new one here.

Re: Mixcraft 8 mixer display glitch

NP

To be honest I have just tried it on my Windows 10 system - and exactly the same thing (and I am running at standard dpi). You are right it only happens if you display the mixer at larger than standard.

So yes I am also experiencing the same. Good catch.

Re: Mixcraft 8 mixer display glitch

Is it possible that you have your system dpi settings set to something other than normal? (when I was running Win 7 I had the dpi setting set to 125% - this was great for most things, but it did cause some occasional GUI glitches).

Just a thought.

Re: Melodyne

My understanding is that the version of Melodyne included with Pro Studio is the essentials version.

Here is a link to the Melodyne Essentials Manual.

Re: Hi All!

I agree that Reaper appears infinitely customizable (and I really do like that you can import multiple audio files and choose to have them loaded on to different tracks - hint, hint MX8 please) - but to be honest for getting work done Mixcraft just gets on and lets me get the job done! John, If you...

Re: Hi All!

Great to hear from you Trev. I was getting concerned! Glad to hear that you are OK despite your brush with the Reaper :) I also bought a copy of reaper way back but to be honest I have just checked and I haven't updated it since V4.78 (apparently Reaper is now V5.3). I agree that Reaper appears infi...

Re: Mixcraft Pro Studio 7 plugin "7Aliens Catanya 2"

Just downloaded the demo and I can confirm it works fine in Mixcraft 7. To install use the installer and select where you want the files to go (I would suggest that you use the same vst folder that you use for your other vsts - if you are not sure then accepting the defaults should work). Once it is...

Re: Installation

I am curious. I assume that you mean Microsoft Works Suite 2001 and 2002? If that is the only reason for going with XP then why not try libreoffice instead - which is completely free? I do realise that we get used to certain programs and of course there are file compatibility problems (for example W...

Re: Match time to existing MIDI track?

You could always try mixing the MIDI track down to an audio file and then try beat matching on that.

Just a suggestion.

Re: How To Save A Project

I understand that but my only point was that if Mixcraft was saving the project than it would save the entire project. Maybe in a future version they will do it. I know I have other programs that do this. I could swear though that I have put all the sound files in the same folder where project file...

Hi Slimy

When you post a link on the forum - first click on the "URL" button as shown here

+1 to Jon's post - great little soundfont player.

It was posted for a different reason but here is a very short video showing how I load soundfonts into tx16wx.

Re: Which program?

Have a look at Riffstation Pro. You can slow down / speed up / isolate instruments (and then either solo them or mute them). In addition you can use it to identify chords (this is what I mainly use it for). My only gripe with it is that it wont display full screen - only in a window which bugs me! h...

Re: Mixcraft 7.5 hissing/buzzing sound coming from software

Is the hissing / buzzing constant or intermittent?

Have you tried soloing each track in turn to identify if it is limited to an individual track?
