Re: No waveform on tracks duirng recording.
It was set to the first choice. I changed it to ASIO. I am using the USB connection from the Mackie. After changing to ASIO, I can get some waveform, but still need to have the gain up to about 4:00. Is this the way it is going to have to be, or can I do something else to see a stronger waveform wit...

No waveform on tracks duirng recording.
I use Mixcraft 5 with a Mackie 2404 VLZ3 mixer. I send signal via USB to the PC using Windows 7 Home. I can only see a waveform during recording when I crank the gain controls on the board to near max. Of course this causes distortion to the house audio. However, if I turn on monitoring for the trac...

Which interface
I know this can be a can of worms question, but are all interfaces created equally? I doubt it. I have looked at them until I am blue in the face. I am leaning toward Tascam or PreSonus units with 6-8 channels. If you have experiences with these or others, your 2 cents worth would be appreciated. Greg
Timeline
I have created and saved a template. I changed the timeline in that template, but the changes do not get saved. Each time I open the template, the timeline reverts to the default. Very annoying! Is there a solution?

Unwanted system sounds
How do I turn off system sounds? I burned a CD of the sermon at church today, and when the CD ejected I heard some music and "Your CD is Ready."

Thanks, Greg! You are directing me to areas I have no expertise in, but it is fun to learn new stuff. Can I ask one other question? I notice that during recording, there seems to be a lag in what you hear and what you see on the track. This does not happen with Garage Band- is this what is called &q...

The mixer is a PV20USB. The computer is a brand new Dell, and this system is being used in my church. I am new to the PC world- I am a Mac user. I am considering this Mixcraft software because I read something about it being Garage Band for the PC. In some regards it is very similar. When I hooked u...

Arming multiple tracks issue
I am using the trial version, and have six days left for evaluation. I cannot arm more than one track at a time. Is this an issue with the trial version? If not, how do I arm multiple tracks for recording. I am feeding via the USB port from a USB mixer. I want to arm several microphones (audio track...
