You could try a Studio Projects B1 condenser mic to record the guitar. Here in Buffalo, NY they have an engineer from GCR Audio (see Goo Goo Dolls studio in Allentown) running the program every once in a while. He offers a lot of new insight. Looking at Melodyne Essential to clean up some vocal tracks, etc. Was wondering if anyone has tried it with MC5 since it is not listed as a compatible DAW.

If you are using Windows 7 you may want to check out this article. I have run into this a couple of times but the problem appears to be random and does not happen every time.
