Mixcraft Not Responding!

Getting a number of 'Mixcraft is Not Responding' messages in Mixcraft 6 (it happened in Mixcraft 5.2 as well), especially when I try to utilize some of the built-in VST's such as Bass, etc. This is not only annoying, but very disturbing also, considering that it could happen after I've put in a lot ...

Presets for Orchestra?

Can anyone let me know what presets they've come up with in Mixcraft 5 or 6 that sound the most authentic for orchestration - strings, strings and woodwinds, etc.? I've been tooling around and have yet to come close to what I'd like. Strings seem to be the most evasive...

Can't burn CD!!!

Oh my gosh, it's all I can do not to pull my hair out over this. After recordings (audio or virtual instrument, it doesn't matter), and mixing down to MP3, I can get nothing to burn. I've tried volume adjustments, restarting my Vista computer, unplugging my Yamaha keyboard and just using the compute...

Best settings

Hey, everyone - I'm trying to come up with the absolute best settings for orchestra sound, with strings being the lead melody. So far I've not had all that much luck, no matter what settings I try - not realistic enough, not rich and vibrant, etc. Anything you've tried that works well for you and th...

Stereo sound?

Is it possible to get stereo sound when I'm recording using my Yamaha 625 keyboard? It only has one output on its rear panel that also serves as a headphone jack.

Thanks for the help! :)

Hello

Wow, pretty impressive! Did you use solely Mixcraft virtual instrumentation, or some other software?
I compose a lot of classical-style stuff myself and am just beginning to record them. However, I'm having a heck of a time getting the rich, vibrant sound I want from Mixcraft.
Keep up the great work!

Hello

Hello -

I tried to give your opera piece a listen but it wouldn't open.
If you'd like to send one to my email, here it is: pauljaye3@yahoo.com

Jeremiah - I just listened to your piece and was quite taken. It's fantastic - great melodies and well-balanced instrumentation. I have Mixcraft 5 and also compose a lot of classical-style music. I have some questions I'd like to ask you about recording. Can you send me an email? Thanks, and keep up...

No Sound...

Raidx/Eric -

Now that I completely uninstalled ASIO4ALL, when opening up the 'Preferences' in Mixcraft I can only get sound when I use ASIO or Wave. I get no sound at all from WaveRT, although the sound meters are moving. What's up with that?

Thanks...

ASIO

Thank you, Raidx...How did you know that this sound card had an onboard ASIO? I was unable to determine that.

By the way, could that be why Mixcraft kept crashing - the ASIO4ALL conflicting with the onboard one?

Eric - In the 'ASIO Device' section, Mixcraft is showing Xonar DS ASIO and ASIO4ALL v.2 . Those are the two choices given. I downloaded the ASIO after I purchased the sound card because I thought it would give me better sound as well as lower latency. Perhaps that's not the case - should I delete it...

Sound card

Eric, it's an Asus Xonar DS 7.1. I had to get one that would fit my low profile computer, and this was about the only one I could find that would fit.

Thanks in advance for your help! --Paul
