I highly suggest upgrading to Podfarm2. And I also reccommend that you record DI. That way you can go back and make it sound how ever you want it to sound!

Just understand that Mixcraft itself isn't to blame. You can get a more complex (busy) project going on any DAW and it would lag a bit. Suggestions.
