96kHz Query
Normally I record at 48kHz/24 bit. But I am considering recording vocals at 96kHz because artifacts are reduced when using Melodyne. If I record everything else at 48kHz and only the vocals at 96kHz, will MC recognise the 96kHz, or will it just convert on the fly to be the same as the other wavs in ...

Re: Error message when attempting to drag in a WAV sound file
Mixcraft is extremely anal about file names. It probably doesn't like something such as a comma or a 'special character' in the name. Change the file name to something very simple (e.g. test) and try again.

Re: Mixcraft 10 - Copying Tracks from One Project to Another
It has to be done within Mixcraft. Open up the project you want to copy from. Select and copy the clips you want and copy them. Now from within Mixcraft open the project you want to copy to. Now you can paste the clips you just copied. For the FX chains you have to save them as a preset in the first...

Re: Panning on master track
Output tracks don't go to the master - and they don't have a pan feature. I think you mean submix?hpharley90 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 1:22 pm doesnt look possible.

Re: Track Panning Problem
I find it a lot easier to use two duplicate tracks: in your case one at 34% right and one at centre. Then just cut the clip and put the relevant parts in the relevant track. That way you can see clearly what is happening on playback as well as hearing it.

Re: Takes in Loop Mode Split Issue
Because you are in Takes mode, which mutes all the previous clips. For harmony, you'd use Overdub mode. Maybe you would Greg, but I don't. It's a lot easier just to sing the same line over and over again in solitude without being distracted by previous takes. If I'd upgraded to 10 it would have bee...

Re: Takes in Loop Mode Split Issue
Why would you assume that? It makes no sense at all. What if you want to layer up multiple harmony lines? I do that all that time; thank god I didn't upgrade from 9!Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 3:16 pm ...with Takes we assume that you probably want to discard the previous audio.

Put the verses and choruses on separate tracks, then they can have their own levels.

How is that different to 'mix to new track'?Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 1:41 pm Mixcraft 10 has a new "Finalize" button that allows people to mix to a new clip when they are satisfied with their Melodyne edits.

Re: Copying effects
Click the FX button, then click the save icon (floppy disk) to save the effectrs chain. You can now import that chain anytime to any channel.
OR
Duplicate the channel, then delete all the clips from the duplicate and move all the clips from the channel you want to have the effects into it.

Re: Support Required for Meodyne Issue.
I somehow managed to get Melodyne 5 back. When I tried to upgrade to 5 the computer said 5 was already installed, even though MC was showing 4. I uninstalled Melodyne 5 from Control Panel, then reinstalled, and that worked. However, the original issue was still there: some clips with Melodyne were p...

Mixcraft 9 pro studio.
I don't know the version because I am not in my studio currently but I assume the current version is installed in a fresh installation?
"You could uninstall all versions of Melodyne and then install your Melodyne 5 Assistant."
See above. That's exactly what I did.

Support Required for Meodyne Issue.
This is the sequence of events. I opened a project that was working perfectly the previous day. One channel had multiple clips, all with Melodyne. Some were working, others had no output (no sound on playback or when scrubbed). A search on the web showed that others had experienced this issue (not w...
