Re: Will MC 10 Have Better VST Support?
The main VST's I tend to use are iZotope Neutron 4, Ozone 9 Advanced, Neoverb, VocalSynth 2, Nectar 3, Sonible Smart EQ 3, Smart Comp 2, Smart Reverb, Smart Limit, I also use the Focusrite The Collective/Sonible versions of those plugins which all come under the umbrella FAST - Fast Compressor, Fast...

Re: Will MC 10 Have Better VST Support?
That's good to hear. I have had issues with Sonible plugins and the FAST series which are essentially cutdown versions of the Smart plugins but made in conjunction with Focusrite. In particular the Fast Reveal plugin which is their separate sidechaining/unmasking module. This always causes issues wi...

Will MC 10 Have Better VST Support?
Hi, i am looking forward to the release of Mixcraft 10 and I would like to know if it will have better VST support and CPU optimisation? I have posted a few times about my problems with various plugins and Mixcraft crashing and extremely high CPU usage on just a handful of tracks. I have also submit...

Re: How Do You Adjust The Volume For Library Sounds?
Thanks for that Greg. I think I had seen that preview track answer somewhere on the forum before but I couldn't find it again. Just out of interest, are all of the sounds in the library normalised and not limited in some way? Just wondering why they are so ridiculously loud in the first place. I kno...

How Do You Adjust The Volume For Library Sounds?
Hi, I have tried searching but I can't find the answer, how do you adjust the volume that the library loops and samples play at when you click on them to preview them? They are way too loud for me. I know I can drag them into the timeline but it's easier to quickly preview them by clicking on them s...

Re: Learning To Mix?
Yes I suppose I am using Mixcraft more like a tape recorder. I don't really use midi much and have just really gotten into using Casio keyboards, I think I am much more comfortable with just recording audio. I have been watching Venus Theory's Mixcraft tutorials and trying to learn mixing. I have al...

Learning To Mix?
Hi, I really want to learn to mix but my main problem is that I don't know what my genre is or what I want my "sound" to be or what I want it to sound like. The nearest I can describe my music is something along the lines of Frank Sidebottom or John Shuttleworth. I have some old 80's Casio...

Re: High CPU Usage With Only A Few Tracks
I think you are right Mark. I have been experimenting with different buffer sizes and having a higher buffer for mixing definitely helps although this can also introduce some crackles and pops so it's a fine balance. Also as ppayne pointed out, the Sonible plugins do use OpenGL which also seems to c...

Re: High CPU Usage With Only A Few Tracks
I am just doing some new tests but with regard to my graphics card. I have an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super that is using the latest drivers 528.24 and those include OpenGL 4.6. I am going to try a project with the FAST/Sonible plugins but with OpenGL disabled and a separate project using the iZotope plugin...

Re: High CPU Usage With Only A Few Tracks
Hi, If you're using any 32-bit plugins in the project, try substituting 64-bit plugins. Greg I am using exclusively 64 bit plugins as the iZotope and FAST plugins are 64 bit only and I am using VST3 but I have had the same problem with VST2 plugins. I read sonible in your post. Go into the settings...

Re: High CPU Usage With Only A Few Tracks
Ok, I've been doing lots of testing and trying to get to the bottom of my audio issues and last week I completely formatted my PC and reinstalled Windows 10 and all the latest drivers for my Scarlett audio interface, Windows and for SoundID as well as installing Mixcraft and Reaper (I had tried the ...

Re: High CPU Usage With Only A Few Tracks
It's very strange with Mixcraft. I can start a session, record multiple tracks and add plugins along the way and watch as the CPU usage goes up and up (often going into the red) and then I exit the program and restart it and then when back in my project in Mixcraft, the CPU issues have gone and it s...

High CPU Usage With Only A Few Tracks
Hi, I am having issues with Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio Build 470 and high CPU usage when using plugins. Here is a screenshot showing what I mean: MixcraftScreenshot.jpg This was a test project where I recorded just 4 audio tracks and added some VST's to each track for basic mixing. I also have the Sonarw...

Printing Double Sided But One Side is Out of Alignment
Hi, I am trying to print a booklet using the Plain Paper Booklet (A4) template with my Canon Pixma MG7550 printer (the printer does support Duplex printing but as I want to print different images on the other side of the front/back cover, then this won't work). However the other side of the page is ...
