Any reason to export from MC a mix at 48 khz when all individual tracks are 44. 1khz?
Pardon this naive question... Let's say I have wav tracks recorded at 44.1khz, 16 bit. Is there any point in exporting the mix from Mixcraft at, say, 48 khz? I believe that if I were to export each track separately at 48 khz it would be pointless, like saying "I've improved the precision of my ...

Re: Project file size increases significantly
Using the YouLean meter seems to be one cause, but not the only one. I'm having a similar problem, as I detailed here https://forums.acoustica.com/viewtopic.php?t=29520 Making changes to clips with Melodyne and rendering them (overwriting the existing clips) had caused my project file in MB to grow ...

Re: How to comp audio, ediiting it with Melodyne, without project files sizes ballooning?
Do I really have to send you a 375 mb file, which has some proprietary 3rd party content, for something you could replicate on a smaller scale in a few minutes? Take two stems, slice, melodyne, render, you'll see it happen. Is no one at Acoustyica interested in replicating this? Or that failing, can...

Re: How to comp audio, ediiting it with Melodyne, without project files sizes ballooning?
Hi, When you “bounce” a track, it makes a new wav file. Wav files can be large because they are uncompressed audio. Greg Have you actually tried to replicate this? Take 2-3 tracks of audio, slice them in to bits, melodyne the bits and save the changes via control +W. I've taken great pains to expla...

How to comp audio, ediiting it with Melodyne, without project files sizes ballooning?
Hi, I've got a project in MC8.5. Let's say I loop record so I get 10 takes of a vocal. Each vocal consist of 10 lyrical lines, or "swappable units" from a comping perspective. I will start by listening to all 10 takes of line 1. I slice all 10 files at the end of line 1. Then, for the ones...

Re: MC8 forcing me to use wrong tempo [solved]
Fixed it! Following my hunch from my last post, that these files, from a 3rd party, might have had some sort of erroneous acid-style bpm metdata, I -opened each of the files in Wavosaur -saved them under new names -started a new MC8 project, specifying 105 bpm -dragged in the drum loop, got a dialog...

Re: MC8 forcing me to use wrong tempo
If you play it in MC8 with the metronome at 120 bpm, do they match? Not here. Even just counting beats for 15 secs -- I count 26. 26 x 4 = 104 bpm. Ok, I counted imperfectly, in 15 seconds it should beat 26.25 times. But for this to be truly 120 bpm, you'd have to hear 30 beats in 15 seconds. I chal...

MC8 forcing me to use wrong tempo [solved]
I have a song which was played to a 105 bpm click track. Here is a snippet of the click track. https://www.dropbox.com/s/f36wt3q2ajt8okr/Drum%20105%20bpm.mp3?dl=0 When I start a new project in MC8, I set the tempo to 105 bpm and drag the full click track audio clip in from windows explorer. I get a ...

Re: MC8 says Ujam Virtual Drummer2 DLL"Not a valid VST"
I've done all those things, to no avail. I know how about the need for paying attention to the folders, rescanning, etc. I've successfully installed around 100 VST fx and instruments in MC8, doing it exactly the same way which causes this failure now. I have another plugin from the developer which *...

MC8 says Ujam Virtual Drummer2 DLL"Not a valid VST"
Some puzzling behaviour. I had a VSTi, Virtual Drummer Solid v1, by the developer Ujam. Worked fine in MC8. Then I upgraded to v2. I.e. uninstalled v1, installed v2. Used all the same paths as before. But when I try dragging and dropping the v2 DLL into MC8, i.e. the way I usually add new VSTs, I ge...

Re: SOS: how to restore to MC408? Today's update has bricked MC
Yes I saw that, thank you, but you asked me to troubleshoot. I pointed out that I have already pointed out that I don't wish to do that today. My plain request is to rollback to v408. I no longer have that installer and don't see it available under legacy products on your site. Please help me rollba...
