Is there a 'pro version'.
Upgrading from mixcraft 5 pro, will all vst's licensed to MC5 work in MC6?
Does MC6 upgrade over right MC5 or could both run?
Instructions on upgrading?
Thanks and congrats on the new product...great to see a drum/midi editor improvements...

Re: Unexpected disappointment
Hi, As far as I know, there are no compatibility problems between Mixcraft 5 and Mixcraft 6. Where did you hear this? What kind of compatibility problems do you think there are? It will cost around $20 to upgrade from Mixcraft Pro Studio 5 to Mixcraft Pro Studio 6. If you have Mixcraft 5, it will p...

Re: Unexpected disappointment
Besides mixcraft6 for $20 then, what more is in the Pro studio upgrade that is not already there in MC5 pro? Will instruments licensed only to MC5 port over to MC6 (they don't port to other daws) or do you need to 're-buy' them? So...$20 will upgrade the new program...but what do you get in the &quo...

Re: Unexpected disappointment
This is an old topic, looking forward to seeing what MC6 pro will cost to upgrade as I was forced over to reaper for a lot of these features, but would still like to give MC a fair run for it's simplicity and ease of use if some of these fundamentals are addressed, many it would appear are but have ...

Re: Mixcraft 6 Pro Studio
Am interested in upgrading to Mixcraft 6 as it seems to address some features that made me need reaper for a few things...let us know on progress to upgrades and details of potential problems there. For instance, I see some info on 6 not running 5 projects, can both be run...how about the VST's in M...

The TT meter is just a monitoring tool...look at on the master and this will show the dynamic range of the track as it goes along...the standalone version on your desktop can be used for tracks playing through your sound card say and will give an overall assessment of the dynamic range of track. Bas...

Yes...the loudness wars... On that you might be interested in this tool as well as exploring this area more... http://www.kvraudio.com/db/tt_dynamic_range_meter_by_pleasurize_music_foundation It's free and works in Mixcraft and will give you a standard by which to gauge the dynamics of your mix and ...

I was really disappointed to find this recently as I have needed to use another daw for routing and other operations...fortunately many of them do and organs and rohodes sims are everywhere, but I was partial to the VB3 even though it turns out to be itself a 'lite' version. You can buy the full blo...

ok...so far, the only way seems to be to cut the section (say bar) out of a bigger midi and only that one...then delete everything else and all virtual instrument tracks excet that one...then save project as midi. Reopening does bring up only the data for say that bar...but when playing it will go s...

Midi Loop Creating
This has come up a few times, so thought better to give it it's own thread and perhaps the acoustica guys or others might have some suggestions. The "task" is to create what I call "Midi Loops"...short midi phrases saved as their own loop, much as you would use audio loops. Make ...

Thanks greg...well I am working on some different things, perhaps better to start a new thread which I will shortly as I really am struggling to work out how to do these 'midi loops' and it is kind of important... The more I try these things, the more 'quirks' I am discovering...as you will see...bu...

+1 Having the same problem making midi loops for a program like EZD or just making a 'midi lick library' for any instrument. I am anticipating problems when it comes to making an 'album' of songs with this problem... No routing is a restriction also (so can't use midi as a command for vocoders or pi...

Not sure what instruments you are looking for, samplers like short circuit are mentioned for playing samples...there are a heap of 'loops' about as well of course, many in MC5...depends on your music and work methods I guess. I've found that a lot of the 'synthed' instruments such as organs and stri...
You are right, it does not seem to export sounds, selected from the individual faders on the mixer, to separate tracks with MC5...maybe MC6?...so perhaps another 'limitation'...however, EZD has it's own mixer and with some ezx's effects, not as versatile though and the work around is perhaps not the...
