How to save VST Presets when upgrading to Mixcraft 7?
Hi, I recently finished up an ep with Mixcraft, so figure now would be a great time to upgrade from 6 to 7, looking forward to the new features, even the little things like multiple automation lanes open at once will be awesome! Getting the pro version for the first time as well to get started on le...

Re: Side Chain Compressor plug in MX7 PRO
Well then... Guess I'll be looking into getting the Pro version when I upgrade from 6! Well played.

Re: Side Chain Compressor plug in MX7 PRO
Ha, my wub-wubbing will be limited, mainly was looking for away to duck the kick drum a bit when it attacks simultaneously as the bass guitar (or vice-versa), thanks for the tip though, I'll see if I can find something that works!

Enable Auto Micro-Fades when Track is Split?
Hi, I had noticed in a video of Reaper recently that there was a way to enable it to automatically put tiny fades at the beginning and end of a clip when a track is split. Poked around a bit and found similar options in a couple other daws. Up until now, I've been manually having to add a fade out/i...

Re: Side Chain Compressor plug in MX7 PRO
I'd also be interested in a tut on side chain compression! Have been trying to get it set up on and off for a couple months, hoping other tutorial videos for reaper or pro tools would help me to extrapolate and figure it out in Mixcraft, but no luck so far! Have output bus track set up, but can't fi...

Re: Recording Clips Misaligned due to Project Tempo Change
aj113, thanks for the thought, that's what I had come across a couple other places and seems to make the most sense at this point. I'll probably just have to go through all the takes and get my final edits cobbled together into the frankensteinian final product, THEN merge them and finally put them ...

Re: Recording Clips Misaligned due to Project Tempo Change
Hey Brian, I won't get offended at your assumption of my limited knowledge and/or intelligence  I realize it was hard to put in to words what I was describing, so that was why I took the time to upload photos demonstrating the issue. I'll try break down the process of what occurred in concise ...

Recording Clips Misaligned due to Project Tempo Change
Hi, I recently recorded a quantity of piano stuff. I had bounced all the midi down from the main project files to put on my laptop, so I could have wavs to play along with and record to away from my main computer. I failed to set the correct project tempo on my laptop, thinking it wouldn't matter si...

Hey Eric, thanks for the quick reply, the backup method you suggested worked. I feel rather stupid for not thinking of that... ah well. I would have assumed the fault of the vsti's as well. However, I just started a new project to check something, and every vsti I have installed worked fine, they on...

Mixcraft becoming unstable. Project too large?
Hey, so I'm working on a fairly extensive project consisting of a mix of virtual and live instruments. At this point, there are quite a few (over twenty) tracks right now, and I've combined them as best I can to try to streamline it, but there was only so many I could condense. Over the past few wee...

Hey guys, thanks for the responses! Yeah, the problem wasn't creating new instrument tracks or editing a track in a different spot, it was just that I had an idea, but then I realized I wanted it to be moved over to make room for a section before the aforementioned idea. The actual act of moving ove...

Inserting blank measures?
Hey, I was wondering if it is possible to insert blank measure into mixcraft in the middle of a piece. I know you can highlight multiple tracks at once and drag them over as a unit to make space, but that doesn't move any of the envelope points for track volume/panning/etc., and doesn't move over te...

Meter Changes
Hey, I have not actually purchased Beatcraft yet, although I do own Mixcraft. I was planning on learning to play set this summer, but then I realized that there was no way I would be able to learn fast enough to be able to play what I needed for some projects I'm working on, so I decided to find a d...
