Re: How do I use Gsnap as a vocoder?
I never got that far into GSnap as to use that feature, but I was under the impression the MIDI function was an input to the plug in, an alternative pitch correction guide instead of choosing the scale or notes in the plug in. IE: routing a MIDI track as an input to the plug in, to be used as a gui...

How do I use Gsnap as a vocoder?
I'm trying to do a quick vocoder bit in a song and autotune won't cut it. Gsnap has a setting called "midi fun". That's all well and good, but how do you get audio routed through it when midi is a digital signal? Does it have something to do with send tracks? I can't even get "midi fu...

Re: I need to AUTOMATE a tapestop effect.
How id you solve the problem? I'm having the exact same issue. thanks Man i wish i could give you a concrete answer but the thing is, that plugin is a pain in the ass. You just gotta sit down and grind on it till you get it right. luckily the only thing you're automating is the Stop/Play (<10=Stop)...

Re: How to chop and screw parts of a song
I didn't realize things like that were done manually. I figured there must be a specialized plugin or some sort of automation involved. What about the "glitching" effect which can also be found in this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViSZI6UJEUQ at about 1:54 I can see just chopping up...

Re: Audio interface advice please.
24 bit is definately worth it. Always go for the highest possible quality you can realistically achieve. A good friend of mine, whom I consider to be something of a mentor once told me "the better your input signal, the easier your job will be in post-production." And I've always carried t...

how to control when a song stops on a final mixdown
Just as the topic says, when I mix a song down, there's always a few seconds of silence after the song is over (varying in length). I'd like to have control over when a song stops so I can have album-like transitions between songs instead of 5+ seconds of silence per song

Re: Can I sort my VST's?
I do the exact same as bernard the hermit. A bit crude and time-consuming, but it'll have to do until the powers that be *cough* acoustica *cough* release a patch with an official way to sort them. Unfortunately, some vst's don't like being re-named. My ampeg svx refuses to work under any file name ...

How to get JUST the 'wet' signal on a send track
I'm trying to do a send track for my drums for a segment of my song so the drums can sound distant and foggy but the thing is, the dry signal from the drum submix track comes through as well as from the send track. I want JUST the wet signal from the send track, not the original drums themselves any...
