Re: Worth getting a second internal SSD

Thanks Anorax, So I’m thinking put in a second SSD and have First SSD. Windows HDD. Mixcraft and recordings Second SSD. Loops and vsts Does this sound like a good way to do it? While you can definitely do so, there's no real reason to move Mixcraft out of the Program Files folder on your C:\ drive,...

Re: Mixcraft work with Izotope Nectar 3?

Are you able to have Nectar 2 and Nectar 3 installed side-by-side? While unlikely, it's possible that Nectar 2 and Nectar 3 have the same VST ID which means that Mixcraft sees them as two copies of the same VST plugin. Try uninstalling Nectar 2 first, then see if Nectar 3 shows up. Also make sure yo...

Re: Worth getting a second internal SSD

I've heard that the general consensus is to use a solid state drive for your samples storage, so you aren't having to read from a hard disk: it's entirely possible for a sample-heavy project to load slower or have disk read speed issues when reading from a hard disk, especially if the files are spac...

Re: How to get my audio interface to work in mix craft?

One thing I've noticed with Music Tribe devices (Behringer, Midas, Klark Teknik, etc) is that you need to double check that the device is showing up in Windows and that the driver is actually showing up for the device. You will want to check this using the Device Manager in Windows. If you're on Win...

Master track's default position?

Should the master track automatically default to the bottom, or is it intended to be moved around? I only ask because if you add the master track, it appears at the bottom, but you can add tracks after it. You can then remove and re-add the master track, and it again appears at the bottom instead of...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Which would cause more server load, a single-threaded download or multitheaded download? Alternatively, you could use a separate drive for audio files - you'll see this often in production studios, where your working drive is separate from your os drive, to prevent data loss in case of os drive cras...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

I don't know how I missed that, hahaha, but great job! I still hope to be able to zoom in more for more precise editing of audio tracks though. Honestly the only reason I'd like to be able to zoom in extra close would be for time-aligning tracks with sample accuracy, but even then that'd be somethi...

Dirty updates vs clean updates

Are we at a point in the Mx9 development cycle where we can start doing dirty installs of new builds rather than uninstall-reinstalling? One is just much more time consuming than the other... ;-)

Re: windows 10 pita

Who said anything about 2 years of updates? Win10 ver 1607 came out in 2016 (2016, Month 07), 1809 in 2018 (2018, Month 09). 2-ish years of updates. Sometimes Windows can just dirty-install a build over an older one, but sometimes it has to patch its way through major updates, and the latter is mor...

W10 is a PITA at first for sure, but it's been "fairly" stable for me for a while now. (knock on wood).
Win10 is stable if you aren't trying to cram two years of updates in at once. That's about the gist of it, unfortunately.

If you're able to do a fresh install, I would recommend that.

Multiple keyboards across multiple computers. Here's the related bug report.

That's odd Mick, because ADG is the exact key combination that I've never been able to play, whether using a cheap USB keyboard I picked up from a surplus sale or the Surface Pro Keyboard on my Surface Pro 6.

Re: Mixer color...

Developers CAN actually multitask and prioritize, you know. And why can't we make the developers aware of a need that a certain amount of their userbase has? It's not like they're going to say "oh, sorry we can't implement snapshots because, a certain amount of users requested more visual cues, sor...
